:wavey: everyone! I know it is still early to be talking about Greg's b-day gift but I wanted to start a new thread to keep this separate from the FCW gift. For those of you that do not know or need some refreshing here is what we are planning on doing for Greg for his b-day - which is June 15th.

Jenna had mention shot glasses to put in his FCW basket but I think it will work better as his b-day gift. I like this idea because this is something that everyone can chip in on and make is personal because it would come from where you lived. This way Greg would have a collection of these from Greg's Angels from all over the world.

If you would like to contribute please mail me only one shot glass that has to do with your state. I will either get a basket or a nice box to put these in for Greg. Chris and I have tickets to see Ted in Nashville in June so we are thinking we may deliver this gift to Debby there and have her take it back to Greg. This way we will know he will get it - now if he just happens to schedule an event well then it will be personally delievered.(yes I'm hoping this will happen) The closer it gets we will know for sure.

Even though it is still over 4 months away I wanted everyone to be on the lookout for shot glasses. You never know when you may run across that special one. ;)

Ok - my mind was wondering with the fact that Greg is coming to Nasvhille and we will be able to give his present to him IN PERSON!!!! :clap: So that got me to thinking (yes I know scary thought) ^_^ and then I ran it by B. We are going to get a Birthday cake for Greg to give to him and then everyone can sing :happybirthday: to him. B and I will take care of all the details for this - the only thing I ask from the ones that are going is maybe chip in a little for the cake. It doesn't have to be much, just some to help us pay for it. We are thinking about putting "Happy Birthday Greg, Greg's Angels" and the a design on the cover of the cake - maybe his tatoo. We are still working out the details.

Just wanted to let you guys know what was going on. This is going to be one memorbale day not only for us but for Greg too. :D

The deadline for everyone to get their shot glasses to me needs to be no later than June 1st. I will leave for Nashville on the 5th so I have to have the glasses before I leave. That also includes any birthday wishes you want included in the card. :)

I would rather you send me the glass so I can have it when I leave. This way I can have everything with me and don't have to worry about getting it from anyone that is going. I can put the gift together before I leave and not have to worry about it when I get to B's house.

yeah, we want to have it put together before we get there, so the sooner they come in, the better. :D

my suggestion would be something that is about where you are from. Something with the city or state name, a pic of something unique to your area, a famous club or attraction... anything. But the idea is something that would represent you and where you are.

I hope that makes sense. :P

Ok guys, bad news... we can't do the cake idea. I talked to Debby about it and she said that big things like cakes, balloon bouquets etc don't work in that setting. But she assured me that we would not let Greg's birthday go unnoticed. So we need to think of something else to let him know that his girls are sending him major love on his birthday.

We definitely want to bring him birthday cards, would love to have a pile of them for him to take with him. And then we will have the glass collection so it will all be good. If we think of some other gesture that will be from the angels, we will let you know.

The cake was a nice thought but I understand why it can't be. It is good enough for me to be able to say Happy Birthday to Greg in person. His b-day will definetly not go unnoticed. :)

Ok guys. We have a situation. I am putting this in bold so no one misses the post.

I have been emailing back and forth with Debby about Greg's Birthday. She said that the guys like to travel light -- so with the glass collection -- we will either have to ship them to the studio after he has opened it, or make them travel friendly. Travel friendly with a couple dozen shot glasses will be harder to do. So would shipping.

So I want to ask you guys what you want to do. We had talked about doing the movie basket for FCW and the glasses for his birthday. THe movie basket would actually travel well as far as him packing it in his suitcase etc. (For that matter we could put the items in a tote of some kind so he could use it as a carry on.) If we do a 180 and do the basket now, that would give everyone a little more time to collect a shot glass and send it in. For those who are going to FCW they could bring the glass to us on Thursday night BEFORE the kickoff party or send it to either Shell or I via the mail.

So what do we want to do? Ship the shot glass collection, try to make it travel safe, or switch gears for now and do the movie basket now and the glasses later.

But either way, I want to take a BAG FULL of birthday cards. Not printed emails, but actual birthday cards. So no matter what we need lots of cards to take to him.

I think that we should switch and just do the basket thing with the movies b/c its better for him to carry and I want him to actually have something to open and with the shot glasses it will give us more time and we will be in Cali so it will be easier for him to transport b/c he lives there not like if he was in Nashville!! So good idea lets switch I am game but what do we do if we are going to switch do we buy something or do we send in money! Its also going to take a lot out of u to plan more and get ready :wacko: for it so if ya need my help u no where to find me!!! Dont want u to go crazy on us!!

B and I talked about this this afternoon and I agree with her, the movie tote would be the best way to go. It would be easier for Greg to take this back home with him. My vote is to go with the movie theme. :) and have it packed full of B-day cards for him. :wub:

I still have to get a shot glass engraved with Greg's Angels....Looks like I'll have more time (phew) as well as tracking down a Chicago Cubs shot glass (which Ive seen)....Which I'll be at FCW so I can just bring them with me...And give to ya there. We could always add to the FCW gift (so its a theme that ties in with shot glasses--since shot glasses are cheap)...

Just let us know what we are doing about the movie theme for his b-day and when we need to have the cards in by....
