Title: Operation Ten!
Description: Celebrating LnL2's relationship
lovinluckynliz - December 29, 2006 04:19 AM (GMT)
This is the OFFICAL announcement..come one and all LL2 supports!
Yes this time for our couple STINKS like non-other but there is a silver lining of hope.
Do you realize that 2007 marks our TEN year anniversary as a fandom? Lucky and Liz met in August 1997 and our fandom started pretty much from day one. And the fact that we are still here is a huge deal.
As of today, the only fandoms with both characters still on the canvas that have been around longer than us are the following: Alan/Monica, Jason/Robin. Jason/Carly, Robert/Anna and Luke/Laura (she's still here dang it!). That's it!
So we are calling on ALL Lucky/Liz fans to celebrate this. We are starting a year long celebration/campaign of this momentous event.
Every month we will have a new campaign. Every month we will be asking you to send a new support theme in with the ten year letter I will post momentarily. We have lots of fun campaigns and plans for this year and we hope we can count on you to help.
In addition to the support we are also planning charity fundraising for Smile Train and Gabriel's Project. Details on these will come shortly.
So join us in celebrating TEN years of supporting and caring for this couple. Now more than ever we need to make noise and be seen. So join us won't you?
The Operation Ten Team

Our letter for the year.....Send to the usual suspects and keep sending it all year.....January's support materials to come in another minute!
A lot can change in ten years. But in the same vein a lot can stay the same.
It was ten years ago that in a cloud of cigarette smoke, the only son of a legendary couple said “I’m Lucky” to a tough talking new girl in town who sneered back at him “We’ll see.” And in that brief exchange a new supercouple was born.
In 1997, viewers were introduced to the love story of Lucky Spencer and Elizabeth Webber. It is one that from the beginning impressed viewers with its realism and the overwhelming rightness of the characters being together. All other stories of young love at the time paled in comparison to the story that was Lucky and Liz. Rooted in friendship, strengthened by adversity, cemented on mutual respect and understanding, solid on complete trust in the other, a deep love formed in those teenage days that has never been equaled for either character.
In the subsequent years, fans of this pairing have borne witness to more than their share of tragedies and difficult times for their couple. Rape, kidnapping, brainwashing, three aborted wedding attempts to each other, marriages and relationships with other people, infidelity on both sides, miscarriages, train wrecks, killer viruses, comas, medical bills, surrogacy, drug addiction and even death itself have all conspired to keep this couple apart.
But the fans remained. Even when the characters rarely interacted. Even when the love story was marginalized to justify another pairing. The fans remained. They remained and waited for the day when Lucky would finally have his Elizabeth back.
The day finally came and the story became about Lucky and Elizabeth Spencer as it should be and always should have been. The family of Lucky, Elizabeth and Cameron continues to be one of the most believable families on daytime and one of the most recognized outside of daytime. Familes.com, Gilmore Girls, Legally Blonde, Wickipedia.com, and Seventeen have all at one time recognized Lucky and Elizabeth specifically during their ten years so far.
So now in 2007, we the fans of Lucky and Elizabeth Spencer are celebrating our long and unique history in daytime. We celebrate the love that brought us together and celebrate the future of our couple that will include Cameron and their baby, which we anxiously await. We love this couple that is the most real of all the couples currently shown on daytime. We weep for their hard times and rejoice in their happiness. We welcome their honesty with each other and their determination to work on their relationship.
We realize good times do not last for long on soap operas but we know something else: That while some things may change in ten years, the love that is shared by Lucky and Elizabeth Spencer is something that will never change.

As you all know on Valentines Day Lucky and Elizabeth made their famous "Permanent Lock" vows to each other in the small chapel. The vowed to love each other forever.
The Operation Ten February Campaign emails and snail-mail should focus on the vows Lucky and Elizabeth made to each other and remind TIIC that we still believe in these vows.

Happy Anniversary Lucky and Elizabeth Fans!!! August is here and it’s our time to celebrate 10 years of love, friendship and fandom!
On a fateful day in August 1997, the 8th to be exact, Elizabeth Webber was introduced to the only son of legendary super couple Luke and Laura. Surrounded by a puff of smoke, in one short scene we were hooked, and a new generation’s super couple was born.
“What’s your name?” Elizabeth asked.
“I’m Lucky Spencer” he replied.
“We’ll see.” she sneered back.
We are using this month, OUR MONTH, to acknowledge Elizabeth and Lucky and the love they have shared. Our first big effort is the CD, which is arriving today to the following people: Grecky, Guza, Tracy Thompson, Michelle Val Jean, Karen Harris, Frons, and Cindi Rhinehart.
Next week we will be showering Becky with love as we celebrate her arrival into town and into our hearts. The 2nd week of August we will be celebrating the meeting of Lucky and Elizabeth. The 3rd week of August we will be celebrating Lucky Spencer. The last week of August we will be celebrating their love and family.
Each of you can do your part by emailing and mailing in letters of support to the magazines, network people, and of course Becky and Greg. Several team members will be sending goodies to Becky, Greg, and some of our favorite LnL2 supporters on behalf of our community.
While we are at the mercy of Guza and not enjoying the best of times, I, like many of LnL2s loyal fans, know this will only make us stronger and we will survive these trials and tribulations.
Carry on warriors! :dancing:
