Yes am a huge Star Wars fan, if it were on there i would have voted for it!!! BTW what constitutes a "movie series"? Does it need to be three movies or more?
LittleBig Al - November 22, 2005 11:19 PM (GMT)
Well star wars is not listed in the poll so I will take jonesy's side on this one the Lord of the Ring was the next best thing....

Series to me means 3+
I used to like SW, but the 'new' releases were quite disapointing.
I also didnt add it cause its still showing in the cinemas.

HP, SW, LOTR i just love the whole thought process and imagination of the people behind the stories. I admire their creativity and ability to express it in the books and in the motion pictures they base on them. The detail they go into bringing the books to life just amazes me..... :clapping:
HDOutlaw Jones - November 24, 2005 01:34 PM (GMT)
I have read 5 of the LOTRs books,
Espically the Silmarillion, it tells from before the begining of the World, the coming of Elves, Dwarves, Men, even the making of the Sun and Earth, the first Murder, songs, friendships, Love, making of boats, tools, the First Dark Lord before Sauron, the forging of ALL the Rings of Power, how men and elves became friends, how the places of Middle-Earth were divided.
It has so many love stories, stories of friendship, betrayal, good evil, mostly fate and choice, adult theories, and mature subject matters.
In-depth family trees and blood-lines..man i could go on and on...

That's the point i was making. I can appreciate the whole concept of the stories not just in LOTR but the other books as well. They were all books first which helps to build your own picture of what things would look like. But to go from a book to a movie is a big call to live up to other peoples imaginations. I think they did a great job with LOTR, SW and HP, but that is just my opinion ;)

Hmmm, this one is tough. I vote for Lord of The Rings although the Indiana Jones, James Bond and Die Hard series are favourites of mine. The Batman series stumbled so badly after the second movie I was certain that it wouldn't recover. I agree with Panda on the Harry Potter series, the movies are enjoyable.
farbrorjoakim - November 25, 2005 06:39 AM (GMT)
Don't forget the Alien series! Just Great.
Outlaw Bubbles - November 29, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
