Title: Harry
Description: Old One Eye
Paradox - April 9, 2008 03:59 AM (GMT)
This is for Harry, (Old One Eye) to check his personal messages, as he failed so badly last time. Harry, reply here when you've checked it and read it, and then Harry (Hazm) can delete it.
Thankyou. :ph43r:

Stop trying to boost your post count Paraplegic.
Paradox - April 9, 2008 06:00 AM (GMT)
Why would I say delete it afterwards if it was counting towards my post count?
Question: What is the difference between the 6th and 7th editions of WHFB?

Can we be a bit more specific? Are they completely different, or are there only slight differences?

Another pathetic attempt to boost your post count.

I don't see why it matters.
They are fairly subtle differences, but not so subtle that you should buy the 6th Ed. book.
Paradox - April 10, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
I got given one for a dollar. Even if its not too up to date, the general rules are the same? If so, I can learn from them before forking out $80 for a 7th ed. rulebook. Ja?

If this is to boost my post count, why do I ask that this is deleted afterwards?
Otissimo - April 10, 2008 05:58 AM (GMT)
If it's not why double post?
Loffisky - April 10, 2008 06:08 AM (GMT)
It's 'cos he's trying to up his post count, but he's trying to do it sneakily... :ph43r:

God knows im not one to stick up for old troy, but there is a hell of alot more 'useless' crap on here than Cocks's question.
dont read too much in to that, in fact i feel i should balance the force...
paraodox you are a little Fagg.
there i feel much better.
Hazm - April 10, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
Yes but Robett do you not see that we are in fact all spamming to create irony which, to someone who recognises the intent, is funny.
And yes Troy, the basic rules are the same and it shouldn't be too hard to convert you. I wouldn't actually buy the rulebook for 80 bucks, it's not worth it when there are already enough people at the club who can teach you/lend you a book.
But I think there was one on Trademe for quite cheap.
Indeed there was:
Linkage. Currently $25.

I on the other hand completely disagree with Harry.
The rule changes are very subtle and you are likely to get confused between the old and new rules.
You are likely to annoying comment on the incorrect way people are playing because you don't know 7th (hate to preaccuse but it is a very common trait amongst noobs who want to show their knowledge)
You will need a rulebook for choosing spells - lizards aren't as lucky as some races who have their spells in their book, and one area that is completely different in 7th is magic
Players who don't have their own rule book are downright annoying. Why should I fork out the $80, learn the game myself, and then have to spend time explaining the rules to someone too cheap to do the same.
There is absolutely nothing more annoying in wargaming than people who do not own their own gaming resources. Do you know why my 40k rulebook when missing for two weeks - because someone who didn't have one accidently packed it away after borrowing it. Do you know why I no longer have a small blast and flame template, despite buying two sets - because people too cheap to fork out $14 f(^#ing dollars borrow them and then don't return them.
Just buy the book.

Hazm - April 11, 2008 07:18 AM (GMT)
Strong words Che, strong words.
My personal opinion is that I am perfectly happy to teach people without rulebooks the rules, happy in the knowledge that whenever I am losing I can invent rules as I please and the n0obs won't know any better...

I was going to mention that you don't need a rulebook to play but I'll not admit to that any more...
One remedy is to never allow anyone to use your stuff, then you don't set a precedent and feel bad when you deny someone. Not that Che would feel bad, but some people might.

I do believe it was last sunday you said: I dont blame you for not having the rule book, they are f***ing expensive, and thats money you could be spending on new models, whats the point really when there are so many floating around the club.
something along the lines of that anyway.
Hazm - April 12, 2008 10:02 AM (GMT)
Yes but this is Paradox we are talking about here...
Otissimo - April 12, 2008 12:42 PM (GMT)
Name this song - without using the innernet to cheat.
i'm not addicted any more
i feel so good i want some more
i've given in and now i'll take it again
so come with me my friend
Those who truely appreciate quality music will know it.
G'luck
The Real Leon - April 13, 2008 08:18 AM (GMT)
...friends until the end...
Dunno the name of it tho..
Otissimo - April 13, 2008 10:55 AM (GMT)
Not actually. But if antone knows the name of that song speak up. All I know is the line "you and me my friend, friends until the end. I will always be there."
Rob - April 13, 2008 11:27 AM (GMT)
sounds pretty crap no where near enough screaming of blasphemies...
Otissimo - April 13, 2008 11:40 AM (GMT)
The rest goes:
and don't tell me that I'm your faithless creep
I'm f*cking up with the system again
so come with me my friend.
Not blasphemous but good clean cussing.
The Real Leon - April 14, 2008 05:07 AM (GMT)
Whos Antone?
BTW Otis has CDs from The Feelers, Goodshirt and Bob Marely if that helps...
Otissimo - April 14, 2008 05:15 AM (GMT)
Antone who? From no country for old men?
Take an educated guess then if you know the CDs
Har more points than you again. Eat my virtual rugby.
