Klodin - May 21, 2008 08:27 PM (GMT)
Can they have cameo appearances?

Spiderman - May 21, 2008 09:35 PM (GMT)
Remember, the game is how you think OTHERS will interpret the question. You're trying to match the five popular answers to get the most points.

Xenshion - May 21, 2008 10:00 PM (GMT)
I'm going to do horrible on the first question. :P

Karmic - May 21, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
Ditto. I mean, superheroes? I hardly know the ones they have made movies about :P

Klodin - May 21, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
Where are you getting your reference material from, Spidey?

Grash - May 21, 2008 11:06 PM (GMT)
Superheroes who haven't had movies made about them? Too vague. Like; there are X-Men movies. Does that mean everyone in it got a movie about them? Or only the ones in the main X-Men team? Or is it actually NOT about any of the characters?

Karmic - May 21, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
Klo: fix the topic title.

Klodin - May 21, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
I can't, I'm not a moderator.

Can't even delete posts in this forum.

Karmic - May 21, 2008 11:42 PM (GMT)
Even if you edit the first post?

Nevermind, fixed it.

That's what I mean by cameos.

Grash - May 22, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
A cameo is a "very brief appearance", you couldn't think the movie is about a person just because he's shown buying coffee once.

Eliza Jane - May 22, 2008 07:48 PM (GMT)
Ok...I am in big trouble on this one....I only know superheroes from the movies..... :(

Hassat Hunter - May 22, 2008 08:01 PM (GMT)
Same here... :(

Grash - May 22, 2008 08:03 PM (GMT)
Is that a typo or a pun? :P

Klodin - May 22, 2008 08:06 PM (GMT)
I know a few heroes that should have their own movies but appeared in others. Only hero that doesn't have a movie yet that I can think of are all spinoffs from comics like spiderman and Xmen. Minor heroes that noone has ever heard of.

What? :P

Grash - May 22, 2008 08:22 PM (GMT)
You could have claimed it was a pun. :P

Xenshion - May 22, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
Though I doubt I'll much points, I nonetheless sent in my answers a day or two ago. Should be interesting to see what most of us said. :D

I'm not sure what you mean so I guess my answer is "my head".

See, this discussion is great. You never know what other people are gonna put...

However, I see people posting in here but not sending me guesses. I know you have until Tuesday but I also know people tend to forget about this. So don't think about it too hard, just send me 5 superheroes.

Hassat Hunter - May 23, 2008 01:44 PM (GMT)
Easier said than done. I have troubles even thinking up ONE superhero, that isn't superman/spiderman/X-men/xXx/Daredevil/batmen etc.

Eliza Jane - May 23, 2008 02:13 PM (GMT)
I totally agree with Hassat....without cheating and looking up superheroes...I have come up with two....and both of those I remember from Seinfeld. :P

Grash - May 23, 2008 03:06 PM (GMT)
Tuesday, 5/27 7:00 AM EDT is Wednesday 3 PM for me.(Minus six minutes, apparently.) I have time. :P

By the way, supervillains aren't superheroes, FYI. :P

Eliza Jane - May 23, 2008 03:08 PM (GMT)
Um...what is a super villain?

Hassat Hunter - May 23, 2008 03:12 PM (GMT)

Grash - May 23, 2008 03:12 PM (GMT)
If someone's a hero and they're super, they're a superhero. :P

If someone's a villain and they're super, they're a supervillain. :P

So; bad guys are the second.

Eliza Jane - May 23, 2008 03:13 PM (GMT)
*bursts out laughing at Dr. Evil* Ok...got it...thanks Hassat.

Shria - May 23, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
Uggh, I can't come up with any! :P I'm trying not to tempt myself to look at a whole list of superheroes...darn, this is hard. ><

It's still the same point in time as everyone else. Don't forget!!

Dumble Dwarf - May 24, 2008 07:32 PM (GMT)
*laughs*
Everyone is worried about getting the 'right' answer.
There is no 'right' answer.
There is only the popular answer.
If four people pick "superman" and I'm one of the four, I get four points (don't worry, to be fair, I'm probably sitting this one out).
Some comic book geek can argue, "Hey, wait a minute there were a bunch of Superman movies! That answer doesn't correctly match the question.", but in this game, it doesn't matter a bit. All that matters is knowing what your fellow players are likely to say and picking those choices.

Get it?

Grash - May 24, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
Yes. Which is why I'm trying to affect the answers by saying what should be the right answer and not submitting mine until the last day. :D

Dumble Dwarf - May 24, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
*snicker*
Well, good luck with that Grash.

Actually I kind of like this game because there is no real advantage to looking up answers, if half the people aren't familiar with the subject. You're better off going with the crowd than being 'right'.

Spiderman - May 27, 2008 01:40 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that's why I think this is one of the better games to play on the forums.

You should still play though.

Dumble Dwarf - May 28, 2008 02:45 AM (GMT)
I would, but I've won every forum game I've played (WWYT, Beyond Balderdash, etc.), both here and in the old in-game forum (in the days of TS). It's time for someone else to win.

Klodin - May 29, 2008 12:19 PM (GMT)
So captains can include the one on cereals, ones from movies and ones from Disney's children's stories?

Grash - May 29, 2008 12:24 PM (GMT)
If it's a "captain", it counts. Ship captain, spaceship captain, captain as in the military rank...heck, some crazy guy that calls himself captain. Real, imaginary, doesn't matter.

Just find some well-known people that can be called captain.(And please, no MtG. :P)

Klodin - May 29, 2008 01:43 PM (GMT)
Captain Sissay?

Grash - May 29, 2008 01:50 PM (GMT)
Well, yeah, that IS a captain; though I don't know about well-known. Just write whoever you think others might know.

Klodin - May 29, 2008 01:51 PM (GMT)
I did. Pirates of the Carribean and Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow.

Dumble Dwarf - May 29, 2008 01:51 PM (GMT)
It could probable even be a mass of granite.
:D

Grash - May 29, 2008 02:08 PM (GMT)
*laughs* That is a big captain. :P
