Esquire Magazine does an in depth fluff piece on Angelina Jolie this month that is celeb worship beyond its finest. But it may not hold up well for Brangelina fans that have always claimed that Jolie didn't split Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. The article comes straight out and says that Brad left Jennifer for Angelina. Jolie has always maintained that wasn't the case.
It first notes that Brad Pitt bought 'A Mighty Heart' for Jennifer Aniston as soon as he read the manuscript, with the idea in mid that he would give her the lead role in the film. Of course jolie gets the lead now as she is with brad. Then the article flatly states that Brad left Jen for Angelina.

"When Brad Pitt left Jennifer for the Angelina after the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith…" the article notes in one area. In another area it talks of the Us Weekly Magazine cover that speaks of Jolie's "Twisted Double Life" and notes that one part of that is "because she wrested Brad Pitt away from Jennifer Aniston." Did Angelina steal Brad away from Jennifer during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith?
Were they going at it during the filming as all the rumors speculated at the time? And the real question did she hint to the author Tom Junod and come clean that she is a home wrecker as many have called her since the split of the golden couple? Or was it just the author's opinion?

When Brad Pitt was casting A Mighty Heart, he knew Angelina Jolie would be perfect to star as Mariane Pearl – he just didn't know how to ask.
"I knew the part had to be played by someone with Mariane's strength and understanding of the world, but I didn't know how to broach the subject," Pitt, 43, tells Newsweek.
"It feels a little like Wolfowitz trying to get his girlfriend a job," he quips (former World Bank president Paul Wolfowitz resigned last month after he was accused of using his office to give his girlfriend a high-paying promotion).
Jolie herself has said she "was nervous" about playing Pearl, especially because the women are now close friends.
Says Pitt: "Being in the room with those two women is great fun. It's like sitting down with Roosevelt and Churchill – only much better-looking."
But after Jolie was cast, some black actors were shocked that the white actress would play Pearl, who is of Afro-Cuban and Dutch descent. Jolie tells Newsweek, "I know that people are frustrated at the lack of great roles [for people of color], but I think they've picked the wrong example here."
Adds Pearl: "This is not about skin color. I wanted her to play me because I trust her. Aren't we past this?"

Brad Pitt says he's paranoid and vulnerable. Has Angelina Jolie turned Brad Pitt into a wimp? In a recent overheard conversation Jolie basically told a man in a bar that she wears the pants in the family and Brad was more like a trophy boy meant to sit and look pretty. I guess that explains why Billy Bob Thornton and Jolie aren't still together, it's doubtful he would have taken that.
Instead Brad went with it. When a sixteen year old fan overseas just wanted a hug from the once rugged star he said he felt vulnerable. He basically called the girl "unbalanced" and then claimed he has radar to keep him warned of these situations. It must have been shut off then as she made it all the way to Pitt and got her hug before the Jolie-Pitt security removed her.
Pitt also now believes that he is Jesse James and is hunted. Is he kidding? Make no mistake, the Jolie-Pitt clan is a prime paparazzi target and he should be concerned for his kids safety. But his recent statements sound a bit over the top. He has even accused the paps of trying to get crotch shots of Jolie and says he is run out of every major city.
Brad and Angie were happy to play the paparazzi game when promoting Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The only reason that film was a hit was the games the pair played as they denied their romance on set. Now when the going gets tough and the films aren't doing well at the box office Pitt may want a shift and some privacy. Should he get it?

Life certainly isn't easy when you are Brad Pitt. The handsome actor has been broody of late but is asking American to lend a hand to help out New Orleans. Trouble is, with that comes interviews and that means questions about Angelina Jolie and his ex Jennifer Aniston. Pitt now fancies himself an architect, and that may not be a bad thing as he certainly isn't an orator, and his math seems a bit odd.
Plus his memory may be fading as well. In his interview earlier this year with V magazine Pitt gave this as the reason for the split with Jennifer, “The most important thing about that time was for Jen and me to figure out if – how do I put it? – if we didn’t want to go on without any outside influence,” he tells the magazine of the last days of his marriage, which were marked by media reports of an affair with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar. That outside influence has to be Jolie, right?
"Is this where we got off? Have we taken this as far as we wanted to go?” He added, “Those questions had to be answered before an attraction to Angie could be answered." Okay, so it sounds like there was an attraction during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, according to his interview with V. But that sounds a bit off so he tried to slide one past CNN talk show host Larry King.
Trouble is Larry has been married and divorced what seems like a few dozen times so he is certainly aware of how break ups go. King asked Pitt, "But what was it like? When you are getting emotionally involved with someone you are working with ...Pitt tied this sales job, "That came after, Larry. That came after."
I guess the timeline depends on if the interview is with V or with CNN.
