Name: Shadow
Gender: Male
Age: 3 years and 7 months
Breed: Siberian Husky
Appearance: Shadow has grown to be quite attractive; he always had been, but just even more in the years. He is very handsome and has a well built stucture, with a broad body full of muscle, not fat. All huskies have plenty of muscles, do they not? After all, they are used as sled dogs, so the muscle and strength would come in handy. His head is rather large, but strong, dotted off with a black, squareish nose at the end. Two pools of brown are his eyes. His muzzle is short and broad, filled with dangerous, sharp canines. Two large ears stand erect upon the top of his head, slightly curved. His neck, strong and decent, hold his head high, attaching it to his body. His chest is broad, filled with muscle. He has four powerful legs, like msot dogs, each with a large paw and five thick claws. A long, fluffy tail usually curls over his haunches.
His pelt is that of a soft red and white color. Literally. His pelt is soft and silky to touch, though it is rather fluffy, to protect him from the cold. This sometimes causes problems for him during the summer. It makes it quite easy for him to overheat. Along his back and the outer parts of his legs is a somewhat bright red. This color runs along the top of his tail. Underneath him is white, including the inner part of his legs, his chest, and under his tail. His face is also masked in white, a thing strip of red going down the middle.
Personality: Shadow is naturally a big flirt, and that hasn't changed a bit. He can't help it when he comes near a fae, for whatever reason, he becomes flirtacious. But, he is a very kind and gentle creature, though he is quite strong and will fight for what he believes. Just because he is kind doesn't mean he'll go easy on whoever he is fighting, especially if he's going against someone he dislikes. Shadow is very touchy and can hold grudges for a long period of time, but he will eventually give in and run back to the person he had been mad at. He'd be very affectionate towards his mate, kind towards friends, and aggressive around enemies. Because of his past, he will go into random yet long stages of depression, where he'd be much more touchy than usually and will be annoyed easily. Nonetheless, Shadow is a friendly guy and good at heart.
History: It wasn't his fault to run away. He had no say in it, as he wasn't born at the time. His parents were two champion show dog huskies who loved each other dearly. Why they ran away, Shadow never knew. Shadow was born on the streets, several weeks after his parents ran away. See, he was the only red husky in the family. His father was silverish, his mother was white, and his siblings were all silver, black, or white. So he grew up being teased by his brothers and sisters.
And, so, when he was several months old, he ran away from his family, not looking back. When his parents and siblings were sleeping, he managed to quietly sneak out of the alley that they lived in. Shadow remained quiet and, cloaked by shadows, escaped the horrible nigths with his siblings, the terrible teasings, and so on.
When he was away, he would find places to sleep for the night. For example, abandoned alleys, under porches, in boxes, and sometimes, he managed to sneak into stores, sleeping in the shelter. That was one reason for his name: He was able to sneak into and through places without being noticed. And he took this to an advantage. It was how he got food, places to say, drinks.
As he grew older, about a year after his life away from his family, and almost two years old, he met the most wonderful girl ever. And, being himself, he flirted with her. It made her giggle, made her laugh. She, much like himself, was carefree. She was also a Siberian husky, a beautiful one, at that. Her name was Lucy. Plain, but wonderful as it rolled of of his tongue.
Only months later, Shadow expressed his love to Lucy. She gaped at him, then immediately embraced the red husky in a doggy-hug. With tears in her eyes, she replied, "I love you, too." Shadow closed his eyes, resting his head upon Lucy's back and nuzzling softly. How life would be perfect from that moment on... or so he thought.
Soon after, at the young age of three years, Lucy and Shadow had their first and only litter, but there were only two pups. Didn't matter to Shadow; he loved his family all the same. Life was perfect--he had a mate, two pups, and his own family. Well, everything was perfect for a while. This perfection was limited; everything has an end. The pups were old enough to see, to hear, to understand the world around them at this point. Lucy walked up to Shadow and told him, "Shadow... it's hard for me to say this... but I... I can't be with you anymore." Shadow gaped up at her. "What? Why?" was his only reply. But Lucy turned and walked away, their daughter trailing behind her.
So Shadow lifted his son, Quake, and turned, tears swelling in his sad brown eyes. Quake remained quiet, having known exactly what had happened. Not wanting to make anything worse, his own sad brown and blue eyes slid down to the ground, closing as his father walked.
