I. This is a fairly literate roleplay site. Three paragraphs (a paragraph being 6-8 sentences) would be a normal post, descriptions are a must, as well as a willingness to strive for better.
II. Powerplay? no. God-moding? no. I don't have to explain myself.
III. Please read all of the rules, plot and updates before considering a character and it's family loyalty. It will make my life easier.

V. Okay, I'll admit it, I have a shitload of canon characters. However, it'll be four characters per person. Of those four, at least two must be boys. After your second character, you will need to have roleplayed two threads on both accounts before you can continue onto your new character. Anyhow, if you feel the need to make a fifth character, pm me and explain what you want. If you request permission to become a Hufflepuff boy, I'm sure I'll find room to be leniant.
VI. This is picky, but I’m really a perfectionist when it comes to graphics. Graphics should be in proportion to your posts, and it looks awful if your signature is larger than your actual roleplay.400x300 is the largest you can have, regardless. No Anime/Sketches/Drawings as your avatar, either; must be a real person.
VII. Oh yeah. Cursing is allowed, in OCC and IC. I’d keep fuck to a minimum, however, as British kids aren’t in trend to say it. More like bloody and flippin’ and so forth ;D
VIII. In general, this site is rated M (for mature). I don’t care if you go off to snog, just make sure there is a form of warning on the topic name/description because some people find it disturbing. On your form, under your information, put dumbledore and yoda are brothers. So I know your understand the rules, aha.
IX. On that note, I'd just like to point out that rules are meant to be broken. in character, of course. woot.
X. Middle names should not be a part of the username -- simply first name and surname. Why? Middle names add length to the username, and it's ridiculous to see 'Regulus Nigellius Finch-Fletchey every time you look at your fellow member's posts. I personally don't have a middle name, so I see no reason for all characters to have one, as well.
XI. THERE IS NO RESERVING. In either avatar claims OR characters. The first person to post a canon biography will be first in line to be accepted. If there is a better bio, however, I will accept them.
XII. As soon as you are accepted, post. Activity is a great old thing, isn't it?

XIV. The same with members. No bashing members. That's even worse.
XV. All right, no posting in IC or out of the OOC forum if you haven't been accepted. As for the OCC board, you, as a potential member, are free to reply to games and the like. Have fun!
XVI. You cannot be a prefect and part of the Quidditch team. If you are a Belle, you cannot be a prefect, nor a Quidditch member. Sorry.
XVII. You must post in the 'Families' topic (in the General Records section) once being accepted. I can't keep track of who's a double agent and whose a malfoy, or potter and third party, for that matter.
XVIII. I will puke if I see another pretty girl application -- simply puke. There are the four belles, their siblings, and that's it! I know people partly roleplay to play a sort of character they wish they were; pretty, tall, extermely intelligent, whatever. But this is a realisitic roleplay, kiddos. Have you not learned? You claim to be ugly in your application, and then you pick a pretty actress for your avatar claim that might have the same hair color. No one cares!

XX. Background: this is a roleplay site --we want to be relatively realistic, but things must be kept in perspective. The canon list doesn't go below 5th years, because, realistically, it's not as fun to play a first year as a sixth year. And it wastes valuable character space. I'm not expecting teachers because the plot doesn't require them, and because, again, I know they aren't much fun to thread with. Unless you're a Snape-wannabe (snicker). Time intervals are a tricky thing with roleplay sites, and here it will be disregarded. Slytherins and Gryffindors will hate each other. period. besides the VERY rare exception.
