Description: Narnian Talking Badger

Kismet - May 5, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
Name:
Kismet Merles
Age:
18 [Human Years]
Sex:
Female
Race:
Talking Badger
Occupation:
None right now
Personality:
Kismet is a kind badger: loyal, honest, and hard-working. She would do anything to prove her loyalty to Aslan, but as of now doesn’t know how to. Kismet treats all who are devoted to Aslan with respect, and sneers at those who are drawn to the White Witch. Her own devotion to Narnia has driven her from her former home to be closer to others who think the way she did, since she prefers peace to confrontation, but will fight if needed. Kismet is also wise, knowing what to say to another a majority of the time and able to solve all sorts of jigsaw puzzles that life throws at her. She also has a grumpy side, one that prefers to be left alone but if that cannot be so she simply takes out her frustration on the people she generally dislikes. Though usually she just attacks them verbally, and does know when to stop. Kismet can also be sarcastic; she has quite a sharp tongue and can make honest but truthful remarks about another’s plan. Kismet as a whole is a good badger who is searching for her use to Narnia.
Appearance:
She doesn’t waver much from the typical badger, Kismet. She has the white head with two black bands on her eyes and running down her face. Her back is more of a silver than a black, and then her stomach is a smoky grey; though the inside of her legs are a dark brown. Kismet has a darker blue but her iris is barely visible under her large pupils.
Likes:
Archery, eating, talking, tracking.
Dislikes:
Fire, dry worms, rambling.
Items:
- Archery Kit: Simply a rather wimpy bow along with a few arrows, if Kismet runs into trouble may use them.
- Necklace: A necklace that has been passed on from Merles to Merles for decades, now it belongs to Kismet.
Background:
Kismet was born in a very fancy badger sett, her mother was a calm sow named Serena and her father was a very threatening boar named Thorn. The first year of her life was both very sheltered but hard, when her mother was home she was fed extra treats every once and a while and even got to have some fun with her smaller brother, a cub named Kota. When her father was in the sett and her mother wasn’t, however, she had to hunt food until she dropped. And most of the time it was just for her brother and father, not her. This topsy-turvy life was suddenly thrust forward when a fire started nearby Kismet’s sett. The fire killed both Kota and her mother, leaving just Thorn and Kismet alone.

Thorn went into depression, so Kismet had to feed her father still. All of the night she went back and forth, trying to keep her father and herself well fed. When winter struck she couldn’t find enough food for the both of them and her father soon passed away. Without any sett to sit in and wait out the winter, Kismet wandered from place to place. She was about a year and a half and was fascinated when she had learned about Aslan, someone she had heard about when she was younger but never could receive more information. Kismet soon wanted to help out the Narnian kings and queens to rid Narnia of the White Witch Loyalists, and up until today she still has been wondering were she would fit in best.
