The story is that the boat "Duet", to be re-named "Balliol College",
was built in Singapore in the 1920/30s and shipped back to UK aboard a RN vessel.
She is 17ft LOA plus a 6ft bow-sprit and 6ft beam with side decks and foredeck. Gaff cutter rigged with top-sail. Clinker built of teak on oak frames with brass and bronze fittings. She has been in Cowes for at least ten years, or so the vendor tells me; he only had her for a short and never sailed her. He "cannot remember" the previous owner's name but he apparently raced her around Cowes and she was well known. She is bound for Conwy and Holyhead. I have many email photos which I will send to anyway who is good enough to help-I cannot seem to attach them to this note. Many thanks for your attention.
