Missing Children's Hotline
If you have information about a missing child, please call one or more of the following numbers:

1-888-326-5352
Answered 24 hours-a-day

OR

1-800-843-5678

The above number is shared by the RCMP Missing Children's Registry in Ottawa and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, D.C.

Leads on missing children are directed here because the staff at the National Centre are diligently trained in the specific techniques in conversing with people to derive proper information concerning a missing child.

The people taking calls are experts. Extensive training is provided by ex-FBI agents who have developed expertise in cases involving missing persons. Each and every call is recorded and reviewed by two of the trainers to ensure that the staff is getting all the information that is possible, and then a permanent record of every call is kept in case it is needed for future investigation. The Centre then immediately passes this information on to the RCMP Missing Children's Registry in Ottawa. The Registry will then contact the local police force doing the investigation.
