http://bc.rcmp.ca/ViewPage.action?siteNode...mp;contentId=-1Revelstoke - Human remains found File #2008-2286 2008-07-18 14:16 PDT Revelstoke RCMP with the assistance of the Revelstoke Forensic Identification Unit, Southeast District Major Crime Unit and the BC Coroners Office are investigating the discovery of human remains found on Boulder Mountain.
On July 16th, 2008 at approx. 2:00 p.m. police were alerted to the discovery by two forestry workers who had been on Boulder Mountain conducting inventory. The preliminary investigation indicates that the remains are most likely that of a male and they have been there for a considerable length of time. Although it is early in the investigation, foul play does not appear to be a factor in the death of this individual.
Investigators are now consulting with subject matter experts and going through all outstanding missing persons reports to try and identify the remains.
