Great day indeed. Even better turnout (number wise), plenty of new heads and some great games making for a really enjoyable RB. The main man Raju did really well co-ordinating and scoring matches. Although..... dude you gotta shout louder and stamp your feet - "LAST CASUAL MATCHES PLEEEEEASE!!!" lol :lol:

Overall I did better this time round. Dukus was pretty much untouchable in our group, cutting his way through everyone without too much trouble. I managed to tie up with Chef for second place but he dusted me in that all important 1 match playoff to qualify. Ah well, doesn't hurt to lose to someone like The Chef. :ph43r:

Also, it was good to finally meet and put a face to Hon. We've had some chit chat on MSN but it's always good to meet people in person. :)

I remember reading somewhere that it was a new venue, so when we walked past the old venue we spent a short while wondering around before we realised that the old venue and the new venue were one and the same!

Putting our stupidity to one side, things were much better when we got inside. There was a decent chance to warm up, unlike at Neo Empire where people were hogging the machines a bit. Slightly late start aside, the whole event was really well organised, and everyone was nice and friendly.

Shame that with the group I'd drawn I didn't have much hope of qualifying, even less so when HKC turned up! Good matches to all though, I wasn't totally thrashed in any of them as least! Raju's parrying skillz showed me up nicely when I went for a shameful cheese finish, a tactic that has stood me well in the past! :P


I notice I'm at the bottom of the league table as well in the report. While it's totally fitting to have Team Nottingham filling the bottom two rungs, I scored 2 points! :P

A really great experience overall, I'll come to the next one as well if I can get a cheap train ticket again!

Sorry Willei, I messed up your points in the database. As you see on my report, I have you scoring two points, but you only have one on the leaderboard. I will change that... when I can be bothered lol. No seriously, I will change it soon. Just bug me if you see me at the Trocadero as I have noticed you play there also.

Oh yeah, sorry to everyone about that E-zone / Hashimi Electronics mix-up. I was reliably informed that it would be called E-zone, but clearly the sign has no been changed yet. I will try to sort that out for the next RB.

GGM, props for the excellent report, very funny and interesting read.

Erm the extra value meal bit though ahem, I think Raju could have bought three with his prize money.

I don't think people really attend for the prize, and since only one person gets a prize people may not want to pay £5 just for a bit more prize money, who knows?

Anyway just to re-iterate, I thought the report was excellent, thanks for bringing your equipment down, did you come by car?

Sorry Hatim I didn't know how mcuh the prize was so I just guessed and tried to be funny. The Gunman's humour is a bit like his execution in 3S - hit and miss, sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesn't lol. I just try to give a good account of what happened, and make it a bit humorous for everyone to read.

As for travel, I took the classic three hit combo of Walking / Bus / Tube. I have sold my car because I have tried to start up a company with my friends, which will be creating games ourselves. Hopefully I will be able to travel by car soon though, which should make things easier for me.

You're now my new best friend. Kudos for you to sell your car. :D
