Title: SBO '08

So, 3S is back in the line-up after word was it was going to be dropped this year... so I have two questions:
1) Will there be European qualifiers?
2) Who is thinking of going to SBO this year?
The second question is the one I'm really interested in right now because I'm looking on going to Japan in April and (realistically) can't afford to go twice in one year. So I'd like to hear what you guys are doing first, it's going to be slightly more expensive going in August but the more the merrier and all that jazz...
PLUS if there are European qualifiers, I will blatantly bring 12 back to scrub up Casino and Troc, boo-ya.
EDIT: Oh yeah, it's a 3-on-3 format for SBO again. Even if nothing comes of it, it would be fun to have another team tournament in Casino like we did before...

I'm going to Japan next year, although be warned, I have said this for the last 4 years now LOL.
As it happens though, I am not sure if I will go to SBO. I really want to go to the Tokyo Games Show, which this year was in the fourth week of September. This is because I have always thought that Japan is the country that makes the most inventive and most interesting games. So going to the TGS would be the ideal opportunity for my inner nerd to shine. I can also try to hustle Ono-san to let me be the official "SF4 Coffee Maker TM," so I can get my name on the SF4 credits, raggo.
Anyway my boss has provisionally agreed to let me have a month off next year, so I was hoping I might be able to go to both events. However, if push comes to shove, I would choose TGS because lets face facts, anyone that goes to Japan will get pwned plenty in any random Japan arcade without ever having to go to the main event.

Have people forgotten about EVO? I might give more priority to that this year than SBO. Depends on how qualifiers go I guess...

Yeah, that's a good point about EVO too...
Not too bothered about TGS oddly enough, if I'd go it would be to leer at the cosplay chicks, pedobear style. I think E3 and Leipzig killed my enthusiasm for it. Is TGS open to the public?

If circumstances do permit for me at that time, then I would rather go EVO this time round just cuz it looks like so much fun. Although I doubt I will have the money to go but never know really.
