Cha Roni - September 12, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
Mine would have a theme, following rock through the ages. Each act will be five songs unless noted. The events run three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Starting in the afternoon, the first day go up to Led Zeppelin (the headline band). Saturday is considered the headline day as it has mostly metal, the main part of this festival. It starts around 10 and goes until the late night. The next day takes over where metal started, the '80s.

Starting with bands and acts like Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, and Little Richard, it would move onto British Invasion bands like the Animals, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band (yeah, not British Invasion but it's got Ringo Starr and they'll play Beatles songs), and the Yardbirds. Moving onto hard rock, featuring bands would be the Who, the Rolling Stones, and AC/DC. Progressive rock will make the next appearance with Pink Floyd headlining (I will force Roger Waters to come back for one reunion :p) supported by King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Rush, and Jethro Tull. The next segment will be basically the headline of the entire event, a reunion of Led Zeppelin (yeah, yeah, they had one earlier this year but that's like only their third since John's death). With them performing about 10 of their best songs, many should flock to them. After Zeppelin, we introduce metal. This is where things get off the rock stable and move onto mostly metal (with some alternative exceptions such as Green Day or blink-182 [again, a force reunion!]).

The next day begins with the NWBHM bands of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple (following Led Zeppelin, resembling the start of metal). Judas Priest and Motorhead form the bridge to Metallica (10 songs) which is then followed by Slayer (7 songs), Megadeth (7 songs), and Anthrax. Motley Crue follows. Sepultura (7 songs) is next up which signifies the switch to heavier metal. Possessed and Morbid Angel now represent the origins of death metal. it moves onto Carcass and Cannibal Corpse. Arch Enemy follows one of their greatest influences and associate bands (Carcass) which hands over the microphone to Amon Amarth. Other Viking Metal bands like Enslaved support Amon Amarth. Smaller death metal bands now take the stages along with some other major bands. Progressive bands like Opeth, Gojira, Sadist, and Into Eternity perform. At the Gates and the Haunted play as well as alternative metal band System of a Down (forced reunion). This represents the slow down in metal. Moving back to thrash, Iced Earth and Warbringer take the stage.

The next day begins with modern progressive rock band Tool. Now, Twisted Sister and Van Halen kicks the hard rock revival scene off where metal took over. Without Axel Rose, Velvet Revolver (10 songs) plays a series of Guns N' Roses songs followed by Velvet Revolver songs. Bon Jovi comes on stage next. Pearl Jam moves onto the stage to start the alternative rock. Next, Green Day and blink-182 play. +44 also plays as well as Sum 41. This day ends around 10 PM after starting in the late afternoon. Metallica makes a surprise encore playing the two songs they didn't play the day before (the Unforgiven and Master of Puppets). Led Zeppelin plays the final encore accompanied by members of the Who, Rolling Stones, and AC/DC. Playing three encore songs, the festival finally ends with a grand fireworks display.

Pot is probably the most prominent drug of the entire event. It is available with little, if not no, restrictions by dozens of non-sanctioned dealers. You smoke at your own risk and there will be little medical help if it would be needed. During the progressive rock parts, acid would probably become the drug of choice.

Mine would never end.

Mateba - September 22, 2008 08:29 PM (GMT)
It would feature My Chemical Romance. They'd be on stage for three whole days.

Meanwhile, I would hand out bottles amongst the crowd.
