Title: What classes?

Jet - August 31, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
What classes do you have this semeseter? I have World History AP, Quantitative Chemistry, Spanish III, and English Honors.

Cassus Fett - August 31, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
Algebra I, thanks to my horrible study skills, Algebra I lab right after that, both with my friend Isaiah, who is a new member here. He's Rala Ssassin. Anyway, After that I have English 10, PE II, and that damn JROTC class.

Jet - August 31, 2007 10:08 PM (GMT)
English 10?!? You mean 10th grade English, right? Every school does different things, so I'm just checking.

My least favorite class has to be algebra. I'm so glad I don't have it this year. I heard geometry wasn't as bad and that the teacher I have is good. This is his last year, too, so I'm glad I got him before he retired. I had a funny teacher for Algebra least year, but he was tough. I don't know how I'm going to bring myself to take Pre-Calc...or even Calc! Horrors of horrors. I'd much rather prefer a history class.

Cassus Fett - August 31, 2007 10:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm a sophomore.

Jet - August 31, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
Me, too. It's nice being a sophomore. People would pick on freshmen too much last year, and apparently sophomores are immune to most of that. But a lot of people don't like sophomores at our school because they like to make fun of freshmen simply as payback for what they got last year. It's a never-ending cycle, but it's not to bad this year.

Zazael - September 1, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
I'm a Junior at my Highschool. Taking AP (College basically) English, US History, and Biology. Some Art, and a Video Making Class for the Academy I'm in. My heads already hurting from the first week. x_X

Takar Goraath - September 1, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
I'm a Senior (F***ing finally!) and I've taken a full course load all the way through. This semeser, I have Statistics for math, German III H, Advanced Latin H, A really good grammar class for English, Physics, French IV and Design. Latin is my best, hardest, and favorite class.

They offer US History AP at our school, too.

To Takar: You decided to take two different languages? My head would be spinning with so many words. I think I'd start speaking in English, halfway through a sentences change to French, and finish in Latin.

That's kind of what happens to my aunt. She speaks English and Italian and her husband (My uncle) speaks English. Sometimes she accidentally starts speaking in Italian to him and English to her parents (Her parents only speak Italian)

Takar Goraath - September 2, 2007 12:38 AM (GMT)
Actually three languages, I'm taking French, Latin, and German! Most peeps in my school think I'm insane. I also want to start taking evening classes in Arabic, lol

Jet - September 2, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
They're right. You must be insane to be taking that many languages. How do you keep everything in separate places? I don't know how you could have time to take three languages, not to mention English.

I'm a freshman...

In college. XD

I guess you could call that 13th grade. Let's see...

Spanish 101 just because I was a lazy b*stard who wanted an easy A, Biology 102 (W/ a 3 hour lab once a week), Fine Arts 102, World Civ. 110.

Yup, not too many this first semester, but it's enough.

Jet - September 2, 2007 10:47 PM (GMT)
I don't really get what the 101 stuff means. 101 is an introduction, right? And 102 would be a step above I suppose. But 110? Our school has a level system where level 3 is super easy, then 2 is slighty harder, and one is the hardest.

Takar Goraath - September 2, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
I hate design soooo much.

Jet - September 3, 2007 03:06 AM (GMT)
What do you design in that class? And if you hate it so much, why did you take it?

101 is the basic introductory level, best taken if you're entirely new to the subject, or "rusty". 102 and above are more advanced & or meant for special circumstances.

For example, Spanish 103 and 104 is for native speakers of the language, even if they have bad grammar they would automatically be in 3 or 4.

99's and below are remedial classes for your challenged people who probably were lucky to get into college. :S

Janos Ithorik - September 23, 2007 05:31 AM (GMT)
English 101 (Intro to College Writing)
Political Science (American Government)
Computer Science (How the internet works)
Geography (Globalization) + Geog. Discussion
History 151 (Early American History) + Hist. Discussion

I'm not a huge fan of the english course, even though it isn't too bad.
Political Science is a 2 hour 40 minute class that bores the hell out of me.
Haven't started computer science yet.
Geography is easy.
History is easy.

Kalak Jerros - September 25, 2007 01:38 AM (GMT)
Dood Jean you live in MI? I do, near Traverse City.

This is my Senior year of High School:

1st: College Literature and Writing
2nd: Computer Programming and Web Design (1/2)
3rd: Success Seminar
4th: Drawing and Painting (Easily my favorite class so far.)
5th: Student Publications (Yearbook staff.)
6th: Government
7th: Computer Programming and Web Design (1/2)

I've got my Computer class split, and I don't have a math class because my programming class gives me math credits. I'm not liking it right now as much as I did last year, because I'm doing it online from my school and I can't get connected to the network, a security filter's preventing me from checking my programming, and I'm doing a completely new programming language that I didn't expect to have to do, so now I'm totally lost... My first assignment for actual coding was due like two weeks ago and due to complications I still haven't gotten it done.

Wes Tyric - December 4, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
I'm in college at the moment, know the systems are different across the pond. (College = 17-18years)

In my one and a half yars here i've taken;
- English Literature
- Sociology
- History
- Goverment and Politics
- A course in Writing
- A Grade 1 diploma in Administration

Kanjin - December 4, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
BA degree in English lit and poltics.

Dyne - December 7, 2007 12:39 AM (GMT)
Next semester:

Math 99. Yep I didn't do so hot on that placement test.
English 101. Finally managed to get in there, class was packed first semester.
Psychology 105. Just because I like psychology.
Spanish 102. Movin' up from 101.
Gen. Ed. 111. Second of the two universally required world history courses.

And... that's it! Thankfully I have no three hour classes this time 'round. And to top it off, tomorrow's the last day of classes this semester, so until January 7th I'll essentially be on vacation, 'cept for the scant few times I have to go up to Campus next week for final exams and the like.

Tav Ryyar - December 7, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
English 9. Regular freshmen English class.
Biology 9. Regular freshmen Biology class.
Freshman Focus. Some corny group with peer councilors, and shit.
World History CT. I love World History, and wanted to be in World Studies.
Graphic Arts. Graphic class, t-shirt making, etc.
Algebra I. I hate Math with a burning passion.

Fuck this shit, I'm a freshman all over again!

My first semester in college looks like this:

HON 111 (Honors 111, basically a bunch of humanities rolled into a shiny bundle with a pretty name)

CHY 121 (Introductory Chemistry lecture)
CHY 123 (Introductory Chem Lab)

MAT 126 (Calculus 1, alllll riiiiight!)

CHB 111 (Intro to Chemical and Biological Engineering 1)

In all, it's about 14 credits. And no not Star Wars credits. We're talkin' real live credits here. The kind that make parents happy.

That is a good thing because 14 credits would not buy you anything with the way inflation is in our times.

Biological Engineering? Are you going to be a terrorist kitty?

Lex'A Ghelen - September 2, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
Introduction to Upper Division Criminal Justice

Enjoy your flourescently-lit hellholes! MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Cha Roni - September 2, 2008 06:54 AM (GMT)
That would be fluorescently-lit hellholes.

Takar Goraath - September 5, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
My dorm is sicccckkkkk. College is the shit. 372 times better than high school.

Terrorism? Me? Nooooo.......

I want to make a terrorist squishing machine.

Cha Roni - September 8, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
Sophomore year!! YAYA!

Let's see

I got band (yeah I'm a band manager!!!), english II, History of Salvation (religion, Church history), Latin II, geometry, LUNCH!!!, European history (probably my best class), and biology (finally, I have a science teacher that can ACTUALLY TEACH!!!!!! HOOORAAY!!!).

I HATE FROSH (in high school)

The Songweaver - September 8, 2008 01:32 AM (GMT)
Band manager? Is that a polite way of saying you don't know how to play any instruments? :P

Cha Roni - September 8, 2008 01:50 AM (GMT)
haha I actually do know but I didn't make the band (I suck at saxophone and my mom wanted me to try out for that instead of drums which I'm uber at). But it's all good because I have it with this ultra chill guy who thought that if he did band, he would get another study hall (because band replaces your study hall) but he was wrong. It's still basically a study hall without a teacher because we get our own little room and shit.

The Songweaver - September 8, 2008 01:52 AM (GMT)
Nice. You should've stuck with percussion though. We give the band life.
