Title: Recent Rise in Crime
Description: Concord Dawn Planetary HoloNet

A recent rise in crime has occured throughout Mandalorian Space and elsewhere. Just this week, the Concord Dawn government have stated that the crime rate for the year on the planet will raise dramatically. Though no statistics weer given, it is suspected that violent crimes, such as homicide and rape, will go done but others like armed robbery and aggravated assault will raise the rate the highest it has seen in recent years. Property-related crimes will also rise with all categories besides arson increasing.

In the galaxy, more planets have seen a recent rise in criminal activity. As we have reported before, several organizations have been associated with and even suspected of committing organized crime. Authorities from the Republic have recently released a report stating that there are three organizations suspected of being "the major criminal syndacites that run galactic crime" they do not have any hard evidence to support their theories. More information is to be released in the coming weeks.

At at last month's end, piracy has been reported at ten fold compared to last year at that time. Though the military has rounded up many accused pirates, and some of them have been convicted, it seems that more people have moved into the pirating business, specifically in the far Outer Rim regions where patrols are scarce and you have to fend for yourself. No word on whether or not any government is going to increase their patrols of the targeted systems.
