Title: Graduation Outfit
Description: What ever shall I wear?

It's a few weeks before graduation, so it is time to look at what I am going to wear when I walk. The event is a Thursday evening at like 4:00ish. It's going to be outside in the parking lot.

Mom is thinking nice pants/skirt....I'm thinking sneakers and jeans (or capris).

The gown I will be wearing will be black. At my HS graduation I had a red gown, so I wore a black mock turtleneck sleeveless shirt with white jeans. On my feet were red, white and black sneakers with Mickey Mouse on them. I also had Mickey earrings on (I was so stylin'...I'll post a photo when I find one). So as you can see I'm all about the funky style. But since this is college, I thought I'd dress like an adult.

What do you all think? And while we are thinking....any thoughts on how to do up the cap? Maybe I'm going to WDW on top of it (not that I am, but that's a WHOLE other issue)? Or maybe go hawaiian...I have a ton of leis I can wear!

NO MORE JEANS OR SNEAKERS....(spoken in the tone of Joan Crawford and her wire hangers)

I agree with your mother.

I didn't go to my college graduation. I didn't see the point because our graduating class was so large. Fo High School, I wore a simple summer dress with a low heel under a red gown/stole/cap.

I plan on attenting my RT graduation since there are only 15 of us in the program and will most likely wear a skirt or dress for that.

April - since I've done the NCC graduation thing my big advice is keep it comfortable. Those chairs, out in the parking lot and depending on the weather - UGH. Be comfortable and something that you can stand in that long line and walk across the stage comfortably in!! Remember - with the big crowd it will be you and your family that will notice what you're wearing, so do what makes you happy - it's a celebration of you!!! I dressed up a bit because we were going out to a fancy dinner after - otherwise sneakers would have been my choice!!!

Well....here is the winning outfit. I loved it and I was dressed nice compared to some of my classmates. And it was my first time wearing these shoes (I've had them at least 2 years) and I totally love them....I will be living in them all summer if I can!

Very nice! Looks like you found just the right mix of dress-up style and dress-down comfort.
What kind of sandals are they?

Gryffin looks like he's just waiting to add the finishing touch to your clothes - no outfit is complete without a few cat hairs, right? :)

It actually looked great and Heather was right....sitting in those chairs for over 3 hours, OMG...my butt will never be the same, my back either. But it was sure worth it. Sort of like labor, lots of pain but worth it in the end!
