Hey Craig, I've got 2kg of fresh ginger root that I bought for very cheap, any suggestions for keeping it? I was thinking of apple cider vinegar maybe, to make a tincture of sorts like I've done for chilli peppers in the past. Have you experimented with preserving ginger? Any ideas appreciated. It's such a great herb.
Well you can make a tincture just like with the chillis yes but I've never bothered. I've utilised it in Sweet Potato soups which makes a big difference and nice soup thats for sure. Grab yourself some Garlic, ACV, Horseradish and Cayenne, make yourself the Super Tonic and store up. Take 15ml 3x daily after 14+days of making the tincture. Ginger is good for bringing Ginger deeper into the body whilst Cayenne is more external initially. Of course the best for internal is Lobelia and this is why Samuel Thompson used Lobelia and Cayenne therapy known as Smithsonian Therapy.
Thanks for your ideas mate, I'll have a play around. I'm really not keen on garlic at all, so maybe without that in it.
Well try and make a small amount and see how you like it. I know that the Super Tonic tastes not as you would expect due to the synergy of the various herbs. You will pray to Garlic if the shit hits the fan with a bio-attack.
