Something interesting that I just learned (gasp!) in psych class is what introversion v. extroversion actually is. Everyone always thinks it's shy v. outgoing, but it's not that at all. Introversion means you make your own energy and feel more comfortable alone or in a small group (i.e. don't need other people to get energy, prefer to be alone when tired). Extroversion means you get energy from other people and would prefer to be in a large crowd (i.e. need others to get energized, prefer to be around people when tired).

I don't know if I explained that well, but that's how it be, yo.

now, people who are extroverted do tend to be more outgoing, but correlation doesn't mean casaulity (no iff here)
