Title: Burst Bubble
Description: Why bother

 Well I hate to be the one to bring bad news but I just got back from the Pacific Road gig & am totallly underwhelmed. Whilst the band seem reasonably competent & the singer sounds a bit like Mozzer, why does he have to pretend to be Mozzer. It's just chav entertainment for dimbos. At one point he started going on about 'Thatcher' & Cameron, for Christ's sake. I've never seen this bunch before & to be honest I was only there to see Frank Sidebottom, but I remember saying to my mates that If he came out with flowers in his back pocket I'd puke at the rancidness of it. Sure enough, he did. I'm sorry but this 'Stars in Their Eyes' style entertainment is an extremely empty experience for me. Tribute bands are great when they play the music but laughable when they attempt a po-faced impersonation of the band members. Drag yourselves out of the gutter & attempt a real tribute to the Smiths. I don't imagine the Wondermints lowered themselves to this level & look where they are now.
Yours
A Smiths fan who doesn't think Morrisey would be impressed.
PS - They made a right dogs dinner of How Soon Is Now

I was also at the gig last night and I just came on here to say how great it was.
This hamphlet character doesn't seem to understand the point of tribute bands at all. I'd heard good things about The Smyths & I can see why. There's nothing Stars in Your Eyes about it, it's just some great songs being played brilliantly by a bunch of people who clearly love the music as much as we do.
You seem to think that just because the singer had some flowers then he thinks he actually is Morrissey. What a load of bollocks. And why shouldn't he say stuff about David Cameron, it's a free country. He wasn't claiming to speak for Morrissey was he? And anyway, Morrissey has been far nastier about Thatcher, Blair & Cameron in the past. Why did it bother you so much? Are you a closet Tory boy?
As for How Soon is Now?, you clearly don't know much about music, for me it was one of the highlights (as well as I Know It's Over, wow!)
I was born in 1983 so obviously I didn't get the chance to see the Smiths. Until they invent time travel I reckon this band are a pretty bloody good substitute for the real thing. I think hamphlet could do with lightening up a bit, sounds like a right humourless nob 'ed.
Who gives a toss about the Wondermints, they say nothing to me about my life.
P.S. Thanks to the Smyths for a fantastic night out, don't take any notice of miserable sods like hamphlet.

If you know about these lads, they never say they are the Smiths, they keep the the music alive. Graham has never thought himslef as Morrissey, take it as it is, great musicains, who can play! Erven Jonny Marr, cant even remeber how he played How soon is now. Enough said.

HAMPHLET ARE YOU FOR REAL???? oh please!!! i was right at the front wit my brother on thurs,im only 22 so all you older smiths fans can shout me down after ive said my peace :) but as a ridiculously huge smiths/mozza fan,the smyths for me were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
The fact that the 'Mozza impersonator' does indeed take on all of his mannerisms simply adds to the magic! But whats being forgotten is that he does it FRIGHTENINGLY WELL!!!! The guy has obviously done his homework and the end product sends a chill down your spine!
Yes its not the real thing, but jeeez,if you can find a closer match than the smyths then it will only be because marr has once again teamed up with mozza!
The music was SUPERB,the musicians really did the songs justice,THEY HAD ME ROCKIN LIKE A NUT!As im never gona see the real thing, everytime these boys are local,IM THERE!!!!
PLEASE HURRY UP BACK TO BIRKENHEAD,WE LOVE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I CAN GO ON ALL DAY HOW GREAT MY NIGHT WAS BUT I BETTER STOP,SO TO ANYONE CONSIDERING GOING TO SEE THESE LADS,IF YOUR A SMITHS LUNATIC, PREPARE YOURSELF FOR JOURNEY BACK IN TIME!!!!!!!!!
BRILLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNT!!!!!!!!!

How can you bring yourself to be so cruel. These guys put everything into they're performances to enrtertain and all you can do is come on here and ridicule them.
Why ?
What's the point ?
I've been to see the Smyths twice now an think they're brilliant. My mates agree and everyone around me at the gigs have loved the band. What do you want , a small fat skinhead dressed in shorts and t-shirt as the lead singer ? He's supposed to be like Morrissey !!
Well done the band for putting on another great show in Glasgow on Friday 16th. I had agreat time once again and look forward to the Aberdeen gig if it happens.
