I just wanted to complement you guys on the gig at potters, I know the place was a little empty and void of atmosphere or real hardcore Smiths fans but I really enjoyed it! Being too young to actually have ever seen The Smiths live, it was an absoloutely blinding experience for me.
The Smiths are my favourite band, and it was just brilliant to see those songs performed by a band, which I'm never going to really get to see again! Unless you come back somewhere near. (please do) Your frontman looks and sounds incredibly like Morrissey, not to mention he pulls off the body language and attitude perfectly. The band are incredible too, kudos to the guitar players for pulling off Johnnys riffs!
I only wished the atmosphere could've been better, I was itching to stand up and have a bit of a dance.
Thanks,
from a young admirer!
Just wanted to add to Girl Afraid's comments.
Thought the gig was excellent and was my first trip to Potters despite living 1.5 miles away as Langley Mill does have a bit of a reputation. Great venue though I have to say.
I hope the lack of atmosphere does not put the band off of a return at some point in the not too distant future as I am sure word of mouth will ensure the band get the audience they deserve next time.
I have seen a few tribute bands and I have to say the Smyths were the best I have seen (along with the Jamm) and for a few hours we were all lost in the sound of some of the best and most relevant music to emerge from Thatcher's Britain.
Vocals (plus movements!) and music were all spot on and to complete it all these are nice guys as we had the pleasure of speaking to them for a good 10 minutes after the gig.
A top friday night, thanks guys and hopefully see you soon.
cheers
Brucey

Remember - somebody always has to be the first on to the dance-floor... why, why can't it be you?
Don't know the venue - if it's got a dance floor etc, but I went to the guys gig at Nuneaton and i think it was their first time there. I was dancing by myself directly in front of the band most of the evening. Ok, felt a bit of a prat for a minute or so, but then, well, you just forget yourself, don't you?
It's a different story in Leeds - you can't even find space to lift your arms! (bit of an exaggeration, but a crackin atmosphere.
Glad you enjoyed them.
