I dunno... it looks like there might be some good things in there. New Hidamari Sketch, Slayers, and Zero no Tsukaima. Seeing as some of the Spring shows are barely reaching the 1/3 mark in their runs, I'm happy with what I'm seeing.

I'll watch the Zero no Tsukaima probably, but that's it. I haven't really got into Hidamari yet, else I'd watch that too...

meh none of the Summer shows sets my world on fire. The only one that I should be excited for, Blade of the Immortal, is being animated by Bee-Train so I'm not expecting much.. of the names I do recognize..

Ikkitousen Great Guardians - wow they're still making sequels to this fanservice-y piece of crap :x

Antique Bakery - I only know about the manga because my cousin is a yaoi fangirl.. I swear!

Hidamari Sketchx365 - Hiro is love, I must finish the first season

Slayers Revolution - I never really liked slayers that much.. Check out what the new opening here.. not bad but not as catchy as Give a Reason or Get Along imo

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora - I really enjoyed the first season of Someday's Dreamers so Ill be watching this for sure

Birdy the Mighty Decode - I own the ovas on vhs and enjoyed this straight up scifi action anime though I'm not thrilled about the new character designs.. she looks cute but that isn't Birdy -__-

Of the unknown titles, I'll be looking up more info on Natsume Yuujin-Chou, Ultraviolet: Code 044, Yakushiji Ryouko no Kaiki Jikenbo and Detroit Metal City.

I take it all back, this season is pretty damn good so far. If it weren't for my PSP there would be no way I could keep up with all of them. I have like $300+ worth of new games sitting on my shelf just waiting to be played.. suppose I'm just a much bigger anime geek then a video game geek.

My favorites so far are Birdy the Mighty and Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo. The first is an awesome remake of a 90s ova with awesome action and the second are.. X-Files cases solved by adult Haruhi and Kyon  The guy is pretty badass but lack the sarcasm and definitely gets pushed around by his boss who is whimsical and outrageous. And I really want to see Code 044 and Mission-E to be subbed, the raws look like fun

Go To DMC!!!
Xam'd has ridiculously ridiculously high animation quality and imo the catchiest opening of the season

I watched the promo short for Detroit Metal City(subtitled version).

The lyrics to that OP are... special.

It is in general funny, but sometimes the contrasts are far too jarring. Have you seen the ending theme?

Eric - September 11, 2008 01:40 PM (GMT)
The special is just clips from the first two episodes. And yeah the ending is sweet, yet another jarring contrast ^^ There is also a live action movie of DMC that should have just come out and.. oh dear some things just don't work in real life.
