Ummmm...
I don't really understand this thread.
Bowles - January 26, 2006 12:34 AM (GMT)
Question answered.
And dude, you need to branch out and use some different icons every now and then. :ph43r:
Crispey - January 26, 2006 04:39 AM (GMT)

Oh, and the blue text in your sig makes my eyes hurt when I try to read it with this background, just letting yuou know.
Bowles - January 26, 2006 02:09 PM (GMT)
I just made my own.
I see. Changed.
Crispey - January 26, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
Sorry if I'm not as talented as you O Great Bowles. Do you know where any avatars are that I dont have to make myself. I'm pretty lazy.
Bowles - January 26, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
Icon links:
Variety (a lot of HP, various movies, Gary Oldman, etc, and where your current icon is from):
grrliz_iconsFriends (your favorite):
friends_iconsThat's a start, I'd say.
Crispey - January 27, 2006 02:11 PM (GMT)
Know where any Bartimaeus one are? I liked the friends one. Is that where you got all the background for your livejournal.
The Real Deal - January 27, 2006 05:55 PM (GMT)
How do you make your own icons, O Great Bowles? Sorry, that just killed me.

Many of them came from those two places.
I use PhotoStudio. It's not a great program and I'm not all that talented, but it works if I need it. Skilled icon-makers mostly use PhotoShop, and some of the stuff they make is just great.
And I like it. O Great Bowles... I think that's going to be my new user title.
Crispey - January 28, 2006 03:57 AM (GMT)
Photostudio... got it. You are pretty good at it though, Bowles.

I kinda fake my way through it. A tip: brightness and contrast are VERY much you're friends. And when you need to crop something very specifically, like the outline of a person, just zoom in and do it manually with PhotoStudio - it's the best way on that program.

I settled on O Great Bossman. Although I might change my username, now that I think about it...
Hmm...
Oh, and really random, but Nintendo DS is awesome. Mario Kart and Castlevania are a lot of fun.

I was just playing my Game Boy DS. It's on my desk right now. And Castlevania is the game I was playing.
Hm, second topic with a second page. We're making progress!
The Real Deal - January 28, 2006 06:23 AM (GMT)
Gameboy DS? Is that the newest one, i haven't heard of it. I remember when i thought i was cool because i had a gameboy advance... never used though...
And as for the second topic, second page thing... We're just awesome like that!

Yeah, it's the newest one. Pretty sweet, too - this has helped reaffirm my faith in Nintendo. That and they're new system, the Revolution - the controller for it is literally going to be a revolution in itself the way it's designed. It's amazing, the risks they take.
But I'm rambling.
The Real Deal - January 28, 2006 06:40 AM (GMT)
You kill me! I can never stop laughing at you! "Revolution in itself". I remember when my next door neighbor had a Nintendo 64 or whatever those old ones were called. And we thought it was so cool! We played Super Mario on it and Donkey Kong... we were such nerds...
Crispey - January 28, 2006 03:27 PM (GMT)
I haven't played N64 in a looonngg time.
Not since I got xbox.
The Real Deal - January 28, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
Hasn't the xbox only been out for a few years?
Crispey - January 28, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
yah, so it's been like three years since I last played N64. That's a long time to me.

Well, the DS is basically an N64 anyway.

It's a handheld system. It's not as powerful as the XBox or PS2, but it's basically like holding a more powerful N64 in your hands. With two screens.

oic. I know what a game boy is! You stick the game in the slot, yup. Ok, i understand now. :D

Such unbridled intelligence abound in this forum! The wonders!
Crispey - January 28, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
Now that I think about it, DS is like N64, just smaller. And a little harder to control. It's cool how people can make the same thing smaller and better.

I love the touch screen. It's amazing. And seriously... once you give it a shot, Castlevania is really fun.
And I really want to see what the Revolution is like.
Crispey - January 28, 2006 09:20 PM (GMT)
I thought you said it's controller was like two seperate parts and you said something else weird like you had already seen it.

The controller is two parts - a remote controller with a few buttons on it that you point at the screen and it moves (like Duckhunt) and an attachable little mouse-like thing with more buttons on it. They're also going to use the old Gamecube controller for some of the games, like Madden.
Crispey - January 28, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
That seems way too confusing. Also this is the first three page thread. Yay!
Bowles - January 28, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
That's only because it has no point. Still, it's some accomplishment, I suppose.

It's probably not the best sign that the topic witht the most replies has absolutely nothing to so with wiht the main topic of the forums.
Well we must change that in due time.
Bowles - January 28, 2006 11:13 PM (GMT)
Actually the movie topic has the most replies. So there's hope yet.
The Real Deal - January 29, 2006 06:58 AM (GMT)
Is it illegal to go off topic? I suppose we're under the "Off Topic" forum... but, from Spam to Video games? I guess you can't do much about it...
Anyway, i'm surprised neither of you have brought up that new game system... eh, the xbox360?
Bowles - January 29, 2006 01:40 PM (GMT)
Spam is anything off-topic. In this thread, it's allowed.
Hm... 360. I might get it just for Halo.
The Real Deal - January 29, 2006 05:49 PM (GMT)
Every single guy i know is going crazy over the new xbox... it's kinda sad really. :(
Crispey - January 29, 2006 07:12 PM (GMT)
I am getting the 360 the moment it bceomes available again.
