x Yes, we suck; we closed. ;; See the 'wnl's future' thread for more info. I could patch the place up now, but I don't think I could be there for WNL in the future, from on april next year. So I decided that it's better to let it go, now. I will dearly miss every member and every wolf that was ever a part of WNL; that made it WNL. I loved this place, I loved my wonderful Gennae, and still do. I hope that you, like me, will cherish the memories we all made here together.

Depravity Peak
Joining Forum
On the southwest edge of the northern lights territories rises the depravity peak. It is the last obstacle any wolf has to trespass before find a home; or be turned away. The peak, and a large piece of ground before it, is a dead land. There is little water, and only a few dead bushes and dead trees mark the barren lands. The depravity peak is a matching name for such a barren place. There are a few muddy streams that go through the territories, but they won't make a wolf survive long out there on its own; only wolves who are determined to find a home in the northern lights territories would trespass here. The vultures are waiting...

Murk Mountain
From the peak of depravity, the mountain's black mist is already spotted. Where the spooky mist comes from, no one knows. It is one another undiscovered secret of the northern light valley, that nobody dares to seek out further. Why would they? They would not want to lose their precious heads, would they? Mountain lions roam at murk mountain, so a safe place the mountain with black mist is not. Yet, there are more undiscovered secrets about the mountain... Many tunnels run through the depths of the mountain, both man-made and natural, and not all have a way out of the deep, black mountain...

Tangled Marshlands
Once a glorious meadow filled with blooming flowers, a storm turned the sylvan meadow into a mushy swamp. Part of the newly formed marshland - formed of the previous sylvan meadow and lucid plateau - is salt-watered, part is drinkable. Drinking from the marshland's mucky water isn't recomendable, however; it might give you something worse than a bad stomach ache... It is not entirely undangerous to visit these marshlands, either, for on many places the ground is mushy and geysirs and unsteady ground is not unusual. There are also some hot springs hidden in the depths of the marshlands. Destroyed trees are still scattered around the marsh, and mist often surrounds it, giving it the impression of a real swamp.

Bedeviled Backwoods
The backwoods are a place apart from the rest of the northern lights. They are located in the far northern parts of the lands. Trees in such large groups are rare on iceland, and this is one of the fewer forests. Many rumors go on about ghosts, but no one knows what is really true and what is not. The backwoods carry many mysteries with them, and there are many myths, legends, and stories to be told about them. Some choose to believe them, some choose not to. Mountain lions have been seen around the bedeviled backwoods, although not in many numbers. A rather suitable place for puppyhood exploration - though these explorations may very well be the end of the young victim's life.

Large slopes rise on the sides of the territories, acting as a shroud of some sorts, parting it from the rest of the northern lights lands. At the rocky slopes opposite of the 'entrance' - a part with no slopes through which the river flows - a large waterfall roars down. Following the wild river towards the center of the pack, there's a lake with mainly calm, still water. A little further, it continues into a calmly streaming river. In the slopes are many places for dens. Wild, high grass grows on most parts of the shrouded territory, and here and there a few trees are to be found.

Dawning Hollow

Two slopes rise from within the territory of the hollow, protecting its inhabitants and creating the perfect place to live. A line of crystal liquid flows into the dale, becoming slimmer as it reaches its heart, and dying out entirely as it reaches its end; a rocky mountain at the far northeast of the northern light territories. On the west side, the slope is much higher than on the east side. Protection from the bedeviled backwoods is a must; always having the splendor of the sun shining at least somewhere is, too. Mixing the factors that form the hollow, the place is a precious haven to live.
