its 2340 AD by some scientific ability dinosaurs have been brought back to life and have all but destroyed humanity. The Transformers thinking the war between Autobots and Decepicons was over were wrong... Megatron has returned with a whole army to defeat the creatures and autobots on earth, but many autobots have made it to earth, some are still cars while others have taken on the look of some dinosaurs and other animals.

Btw: Optimus Prime and the others from the second movie have survived so they are open to play.
