I think it's pretty safe to say JPIV won't be seeing a 2007 release. I'm okay with that, I just hope that all of this waiting pays off and JPIV turns out to be a decent movie. We should start getting some actual details about the movie once they pick a director and start filming, so a little over a year from now we should know more about the movie.

This long break between JP/// & JPIV could really help JPIV's opening weekend box office numbers since people should be hungry for another JP movie after so long. If the movie is of poor quality though, it won't take long before the ticket sales plummet.

I hope that this wait isn't for nothing, because if it is I will never watch a Hollywood blockbuster again in my life. Period.

Just because one Hollywood blockbuster disappoints you doesn't mean every one that comes after it will be as bad, or worse. Even if I end up disliking JPIV even more than JP/// it doesn't mean I'll never watch another Hollywood blockbuster, or regular Hollywood movie for that matter, again. There are a lot of other movie studios out there with plenty of other script writers and directors and so on, and I still have confidence in some of them to produce some great movies.

Yeah, but the amount of bad flicks greatly exceeds the good ones. Infact, seeing good films, that are worth seeing, is quite rare. To tell you the truth, very few films interest me these days with the exception of the first JP(not the sequels, they're worthless as far as my opinion is concerned).

Why won't there be no JPIV in 2007?

It either comes at 2008 or it wont. I just hope, when JPIV finally rears it's head, it all won't be for nothing because the worst crime they could commit to the original fans is to make the worst movie of the trilogy after making us wait for FIVE YEARS. :frown

As for JPIV coming out in July 2006, I'm sorry but there is absolutely 0% chance of that. We know for sure about that. There's no script, no director, no nothing.

It's certain that it won't be released by next year either. Probably 2008, if even that.

Next year's a possibility. I mean if they get going with production soon, and do say 6-9 months of solid production while promoting. We get to early next year, then there would still be at most 8-9 months left to finish up extra production before a 2007 release would be out of the question. We all know a lot of movies aren't even finished before the teasers and trailers start leaking into the airwaves. I would like to see it come out very late next year to make me think they put more thought into it...

This is all also an ideal situation where they start production very soon and put full effort into it, i doubt it would happen, but it could...

maybe 2009 is when it comes out because of how long it takes to make a movie like jurassic park because of the robotics. :W2JP

Yes,but JP/// only took a year to make and look how bad it turned out!

JP/// did have a lot of special effects and dinosaurs in it though. I think a better plot would have more dinoless scenes than not, to improve on the storyline so it might actually be easier to make from a CGI standpoint? Then again, I've always wanted to see another scene like the stampede in The Lost World (minus the poachers and their bad jokes).... ;)

Not comming out in '07? That's all right. I'll be in college, and where I'm going, they don't allow students to go to the movies. Plus, I'd rather wait for it to come out on DVD or something so if I miss something early on in the movie, I can pause it and go back.

Can't do that in the theaters or they'd throw you out...
