Yea, I didn't care for Nick Van Owen. In my opinion he was too liberal, but hey, its a movie.
I think I should change thought though.
The Book
Favorite: Alan Grant, since he was good in the film and the book.
Least Favorite: Ed Regis (he was a dumb charatcer)
The Films
Fave: Roland Tembo, since he was a rare character.
LF: Nick Van Owen

Ay, the Regis hate...I never really hated him but I always found him to be a little bland.
Since I have my favs in every movie & book I really canīt single out my very very most favourite ones.
Favourites
Jurassic Park
The Book:
Most - Muldoon and Grant, absolutely, Muldoon for being THE down to earth guy in the park among a bunch of crazy people; Grant being the generally likeable character (courageous, friendly, yet tough)
Least - Hammond, very very negative role, far more than Nedry and Gennaro for instance, very childish, cowardly, mean, power hungry and just interested in making big money
Movie:
Most - Muldoon (albeit only in a minor role here, a picture perfect toughguy hunter character) and Wayne Knights version of Dennis Nedry was just great to me, funny in a slapstick kind of way
Least - Gennaro, he was to the movie what Hammond was to the novel
The Lost World
The Book: Ian, clearly Ian (pessimistic and you could truly feel his fear of the dinos). And I felt really sorry for Howard King, who seemed quite reasonable for a bad guy character and like a good guy who just met the wrong people.
Movie: Ian and Roland Tembo. Tembo had a GREAT deleted scene introducing him and his scout, really unfortunate it didnīt make the final cut, character similar to Muldoon. Ian came across pretty cool, humbled by his experience in the park and way more humble, but still funny, witty and sometimes even brave.
Jurassic Park III or /// or whatever ;)
Grant - Just for the good old times sake, albeit Neil does a really good job also.
The Kirbys - seriously, I really couldnīt stand the whole family. Paul kirby was the least annoying, but damn...Amanda and that little brat....good God. Calm down, they are fictional characters...calm down!

Yea, Regis kind of just was there. And got eaten.

Favorite: Muldoon. Sorry, I love guys like that... :love
Least Fave: Malcom. I know it's a bit of a shock to some, but the guy royally ticked me off for some reason. I loved his "Pirates of the Carribean" line from the first movie, but other than that, I didn't care much for him.
CloverfieldLover666 - June 27, 2008 11:19 AM (GMT)
