Title: Two Brothers

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 01:49 AM (GMT)
The night was warm and peaceful as Saberclaw padded out of his camp. he was sure the rogues were asleep which gave him the chance to get to his brother. Without a glance over his shoulde,r he bursted into a sprint towards Thunderclan's borders.
Sixfoot had pretended to sleep. His eyes were closed and his breathing was steady but then he opened his eyes, glancing around. No one was awake and hopefully they wouldn't when he left. He got to his paws, leaving his warm next behind him as he made his way over cats. He walked out of the den and then to the entrance glancing behind him as though this were the last look he'd ever give the camp. Sixfoot then turned his head and started at a low trot towards the Sunningrocks. He wasn't sur eif Starclan liked what he was doing but as long as it wasn't harming the clan, it should be alright.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 03:54 PM (GMT)
ooc: Should either of the two she-cats follow? Or another? Otherwise I think you'd be posting by yourself.....

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 05:30 PM (GMT)
Ooc: lol Yeah probably

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
ooc: ok...more likely Heather...

Heatherpelt pricked her ears up at the sound of pawsteps. Her eyes opened slowly as she watched Sixfoot's blury form. She stood up on tired paws, her wounds still aching from the previous day. She waited until he exited the den before following.

ooc: this is just like Silver following Sixfoot at COTW

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
Ooc: Aye, memories lol

Bic: The tom stopped just before the rocks where Saberclaw had told to meet him at. His ears were pricked praying that this was no trick. With a heavy heart he made his way on top of the rocks and stood there, waiting.
Saberclaw crossed over the border of Thunderclan and quickly made his wayy towards the Sunningrocks. His jaws were parted as he picked up his brother's scent.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 05:52 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt watched and noticed he was on the path to Sunningrocks. She picked up another scent, a rogues scent. She decided the best way to follow would be to go around. She trotted around towards RiverClan's territory on ThunderClan's side of the River. She made it there and then started to move upstream towards Sunningrocks. Her ears were pricked and her jaws were parted as she searched for her mate's scent.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 05:58 PM (GMT)
Saberclaw finally made it out into the open. He stood just before the Sunningrocks. With unsheathed claws he made his way up on to the top of them. The rocks felt warm beneath which was rather odd. The first thing the half-blind tom spotted was his brother. "Sixfoot," Saberclaw said in a low growl although it didn't sound aggressive nor threatening.
Sixfoot looked up as he heard his name. He spotted the calico tortoise-shell standing before him. "Saberclaw, why did you call me here? You know its against the Warrior Code for me to allow intruders in our territory," he said immediately jumping into that.
Saberclaw dismissed the topic with the flick of his ear. "Has Thunderclan found their new leader yet?" he asked instead.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
Why would Saberclaw be so interested in ThunderClan's leader? Heatherpelt thought astounded. If he knows Sixfoot well enough, every weakness and strength would be revealed.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 06:20 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot's eyes narrowed. "No, why do you need to know?" he asked suspisciously.
Saberclaw shurgged his broad shoulders. "No reason. I will say this though, they need a good leader to lead them and if I can lead my rogues than surely you can lead the clanners. i haven't seen any other Thunderclamnners around either," he said sitting down.
"Some must stay in the camp. Its not safe to leave it unguarded with that Plagueclan running around," Sixfoot meowed.
Saberclaw nodded. "Yes thats true. Sixfoot I need to ask you a question," Saberclaw said. he hesitated for a moment trying to think of a way to ask his question.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 06:23 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt unsheathed her claws. What was this cat trying to do? She inched forward slightly, keeping her body low to the ground.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 06:29 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot felt every hair on his pelt prickle with tension.
"The other day I said you'd be good as a rogue. Your younger than I am and thus still have strength. I'm getting to old to hold the rogue's name and eventually I'll have to let it go. If at any point in time I'm chased out of the rogue's camp, could you...take me in as prisoner forshelter and food?" he asked quickly.
Once again Sixfoot was shocked at what his brother had to say. What in Starclan was going on here?

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 06:33 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt wanted to let out a fierce hiss at these words. She wanted to tell Sixfoot not to listen, but that wouldn't happen. Sixfoot had shown just how much he could be like his brother moons ago and she feared that side would come again. She waited to see what his reaction would be, fear more than curiousity keeping her there.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 06:39 PM (GMT)
"S-Saberclaw you wouldn't be chased out of your camp. You've got Cloverleaf t-to keep you alive. You know she wouldn't let anyone chase you out and even if you were chased out, you'd be attacked on sight," Sixfoot stuttered.
Anger flashed through Saberclaw's eye but quickly vanished. He merely nodded. "I suppose your right," he said with a sigh.
Sixfoot glanced down at the rock before looking up at his brother. "I guess you'd better be getting backt your camp. You wouldn'twant a patrol to catch you," he said hoping that Saberclaw would agree.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt glared at the rogue, hoping he would leave. A slight bit of sympathy for the cat entered her mind, but she pushed it away. This cat had killed many of her Clanmates and others, too. She wouldn't let him stay in their camp only to take over!

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 06:46 PM (GMT)
Saberclaw nodded. "Farewell brother, pray we don't meet in battle once moree," he said getting up. He turned around and leaped off the rock easily although his landing was a bit off. He didn't glance back as he bursted into a sprint, w=vnishing through the brush and running towards the rogue camp.
Sixfoot watched where his brother had vanished off the rock. He waited until his brother's scent faded and then got up himself. He didn't see any reason to go to sleep now.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt backed away, slowly at first. Once she was clear of the rocks and sure Sixfoot wouldn't hear him she sprinted back towards camp. She pushed her fears out of mind and focused on the news she had to tell Sixfoot.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 06:52 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot made his way off the rock and padded back towards camp. His head swirled wiht thoughts. What was he going to do about Saberclaw and if he could take him in as prisoner, would the clan accept it?

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 06:56 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt reached the warriors den and was stopped by a white-furred warrior.

"Where were you?" Snowstreak asked her, suspicion in her blue eyes.

"Hunting." Heatherpelt replied, startled to see the cat.

"You didn't catch anything then?"

"No. I caught a bird, but it let out an alarm call when I did." She explained.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot thought he heard two cats conversing just inside the camp. He slowly made his way into the camp and stopped short when he saw it was his mate and SNowstreak. What were they doing up? He didn't want them to know where he was and he should've had enough brains to catch something before he came back.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
"So where's the bird?" Snowstreak asked with the hint of a snarl. Her suspicions were becoming deeper as Heatherpelt began telling her more and more.

"I buried it back at the Hollow. I came back here to check on things." She mewed. Her ears pricked at the sound of approaching pawsteps.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 07:05 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot felt a rush of aggression towards Snowstreak when she had snarled at Heatherpelt. He advanced forward a pawstep, his neck fur rising.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 07:10 PM (GMT)
"Fine. Then you wouldn't mind my going to get it." She hissed and trotted out, ignoring Sixfoot as she went.

Heatherpelt glared at her as she left. She turned to Sixfoot, her eyes warm. She didn't betray the fact that she had followed her mate, but her eyes fell to her paws. "Where were you?" She asked, raising her eyes to meet his.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 07:13 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot flinched. He didn't want to lie to her. Praying that no one else was listening he said, "I was...talking to Saberclaw."
His voice was sorrowful as though it was painful to speak of his brother.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 07:15 PM (GMT)
Heatherpelt looked at him and sighed. "Yes, I know." She mewed, her tone soft. "Don't look so guilty or Snowstreak will start questioning you as well." She purred.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot licked her head affectionately. Although he felt somewhat invaded, he didn't care. if she knew and he ahd lied to her than this wouldn't have been a very nice situation probably.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 07:22 PM (GMT)
"I'm sorry, I was just worried is all." She mewed. She could not meet his gaze, her heart sinking as she thought about what she had done.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 08:07 PM (GMT)
"There's nothing to worried about. If he had wanted to attack me he would've," Sixfoot mewed softly.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 08:09 PM (GMT)
"Thank StarClan he didn't." She mewed. She touched her nose to his. "Feel like hunting?" She asked, withdrawing.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
"Alright," Sixfoot meowed gently. "Where would you like to hutn?" he asked calmly. He would naturally wanto sleep right now but for some reason, that wasn't in his best of interest at this very moment.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
"Anywhere, as long as we're alone." She mewed, her eyes resting on him. She wanted nothing more than to be with him in solitude for the news she was about to tell him.

ooc: Should she tell him now or later?

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
Ooc: ...Later perhaps?

Sixfoot purred loudly. His gaze was full of warmth. "Alright," he said in a soft voice. He was more than happy. Finally some peace with his mate. No problems, nothing but Heatherpelt and him.

Cloverleaf - September 23, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
"Let's try Tallpines. I'd rather not run into Snowstreak." She mewed, her tail curling. She padded out into the forest, but stopped to wait for Sixfoot.

Saberclaw - September 23, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
Sixfoot padded after her. He wasn't overly fond of Snowstreak at this point in time either.
