Title: Dogue de Bordeaux x Rottweiler

~Sansorrella~ - January 25, 2010 03:09 PM (GMT)
"Duke" is a two and a half year old male.

He has been neutered.

He is good off lead, good with children and other dogs.

Although a very powerful dog his is a big softy at heart with a lot of affection to give. He is being fostered by Pat and Willow due to his previous owners expecting a new baby (ok - don't say it - Pat and I have already said what we think!)

He needs to go to a home where the owners are physically strong enough to take charge of him and are able to continue his training and give him some mental stimulation.

Please PM me for contact details.

my niece's boyfriend has a dog of the exact same mix.. she`s only a pup though 5-6 months old. Makes a very attractive cross.. better than both the parent breeds i personally think.. and a sweety as well.

I hope he finds a great home 15a

I was thinking that today, many crosses look better than the extreme looks of either parent

My 'dog trainer friend' used to have a dog of this cross - he was "Sky's" best mate when she was younger (I have sent the pics to my friend as she lost "Maurice" a couple of years ago - but I think she may be having problems persuading her OH).

Hi Sandra,

Do you think she'll be interested? Good idea to try - he looks quite similar - if he is as sweet as Maurice was.

Dave

PS. She might have her hands full with the Collie training!!

~Sansorrella~ - February 3, 2010 04:36 PM (GMT)
I have sent her the pics and she loves him - but I think she has her hands full and probably OH has put his foot down. I think she was very tempted though.

Last I heard Pat, who is fostering him, is seriously considering keeping him as the pair have bonded! (I did tell Pat that wasn't the idea of fostering - that will be the second in the last few months they've kept).

Well he keeps on looking at me with his big sad eyes what should i do ?

I was out walking with the pack yesterday and a woman was asking about duke
i thought she was interested him and i paniced i could not think about him going

I know how you felt Pat, I was the same over a rescue that I was fostering. I was nearly in tears at a show in Oldham when someone was looking at Cloud and wanted to have her - it was Mick (Benson) who told me to keep her if thats what I wanted - so I did.

I really think you should keep him - there's obviously a bond there.

However, in future, only foster horrible little yappy dogs that you won't get attached to!!!!!
