Title: *waves*
Description: This is me...joining the ranks.
lake effect leesie - June 25, 2009 07:29 AM (GMT)
So I'm going to do this in list form, because I'm ridiculous like that. >.< Before I get started, my screen name stemmed from my love for alliteration, my preference for all-lower case in most everything but sentences, my place of origin, and a Fall Out Boy song...
Name: Alycia, but do please call me Leesie
Age: 19
Location: Northwest Indiana, about an hour from Chicago. Hence, lake effect leesie. I also attend college in...East-Central (?) Indiana.
Loves: wrestling (duh), music, writing, reading, and making icons.
I will, when possible, resist the urge to be a grammar Nazi. It's sometimes REALLY hard for me, though...
I've been watching WWF/WWE programming pretty much since birth. There was a hiatus in there, but I'll not get into that right now.
I'm known as xreeshix on livejournal, where I became addicted to making icons such as the one I'm employing here.
My favorite Superstar of all time is "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and my favorite Diva of all time would have to be the late Miss Elizabeth.
I overuse emotes.
Sometimes I type the way I speak, which means that occasionally I will say things like, "I don't know why they, like, can't seem to see how stupid that is."
Conversely, I speak the way I type at times. I've been known to speak "like an MSN conversation."
I'm also prone to shinfo, but I do try to keep it to a minimum. I promise.
The GIRL Wonder is my twinny. Sometimes our twin tendencies are rather creepy...O.o It's her fault I'm here. XD
I tend to say I'm going to do something in a post or whatever and then totally disregard that statement. Hence why my organized means of introduction has turned into a random list of facts about myself.
The only non-flip-flop, non-dress shoes I own are Converse hi-tops and Vans Slip-On Classics.
I'm addicted to Old Navy flip flops.
In case you hadn't noticed, I'm trying to get the shinfo out of my system now...XD
It's not going to work. Just one more random piece of info...
I never wear pants anywhere but to bed if I can help it. Since I started wearing skirts (it began because it was required by my church...and my mother...), I've always been more comfortable in them. *shrug*
With that, I shall conclude my rant. I'm looking forward to conversing with what I'm sure is a group of awesometastic people. ^-^

Hey Lessie:
Welcome. Girl Wonder is great! IF you are her twin I know we will love you too!
I know about the Lake effect . . . My family is from Wicker Park and upper Michigan. I spent many summers and a few winters there. You are a force to be respected.
Grammer Nazi is good. I just learned to read and write again and some times slip. Spelling is the worst. i just read it over and over and can't figure it out. Help is welcome!
Enjoy!

TWINNY!
*GLOMP*
She speaks the truth--our tendencies are kinda creepy. Seriously. She's even started stealing my accent! Most of the time we share a brain, so you're gonna see a lot of comments like "Twinny, I really wish you'd get out of my brain" on her part and a lot of "Would you PLEASE get the fuck out of my head?!" from me.
Example: As she was registering on this board, I asked if she was going to join. She told me to get out of her head.

Awww. 'Course she's awesome. >.<
:D The words "lake effect snow" are always met with horror here. I actually missed the hardcore winter when I was at college this past year, though.
(HOMG, there's a huge wasp upstairs...I'm now hiding in the basement...D:)

Yeahhh, it'd be cool if I could stop contracting your stummy issues. I love you, but not that much. : (
Now I need a sig...*muses* Perhaps I'll make one later...
(*hopes that wasp goes away* Seriously, we have a woman who's allergic to bees and doesn't have one of those needle dealies...and a woman who just plain doesn't fancy being stung...D:)

Hey welcome to the forums Alycia. I'm Matt, one of the very few guys here on the site nowadays lol. But it's all good. The more girls the better B)
I love making icons too! I also enjoy making my own sigs and stuff.
Yeah so welcome to the family and I'm sure you'll have fun talking with all the beautiful and wonderful people on this site....well most of them :P
lake effect leesie - June 25, 2009 04:28 PM (GMT)
Thanks! Oh, a man! XD
I still consider myself an icon noob...I've only been working on them for...five months? But iconing is so addicting it's ridiculous.

N00b my ass. She's amazing--she made my siggy for me.
And of course insanity would happen...we'd fool people into thinking we were actually twins! Even though I'm like six inches taller and two years older than you.
lake effect leesie - June 25, 2009 05:52 PM (GMT)
Twinny...*blushes*
I'm like a shorter, girlier you. XD
rarbear - June 25, 2009 06:45 PM (GMT)
Squeeee! Oh I like this one already. Beware.
*leap...pounce...rarbearsnuggle* :D
I also use emotes way too much, to the point that I have to write my own.
lake effect leesie - June 25, 2009 06:54 PM (GMT)
Awww. *blushes, huggles*
I feel special. :D
*returns to slaving over sig*
It's gonna be epic, you guys. Well, not EPIC, but...I'm going to enjoy it, anyway.

After my grandmother died I didn't visit as much as I used too. So I only had to contend with The Colorado Mountain winter. I was loving the Vegas winters until last December when I had five feet and drifts in my front yard.
It was a massive snow storm in the desert.
When I used to go to the U.P. and Chi town I spent my winters with my feet propprd up in the oven. Kept warm that way. Put the kitchen chair by the oven gat a blanket aaround me sip hot coco and toeat my feet..

Oh, I've done that! The oven thing...one year after Homecoming, my friend and I (we were all hanging out at her house, which has no central heat) put our feet on the stove and wrapped a blanket around our legs. We were baking cookies, but we gave up because it was just too darn cold. Last winter (not the one a few months ago), we would sleep downstairs...three of us on one bed, with, like, four blankets, not to mention a space heater and the woodstove going. XD
We stopped sleeping down there the night some drunk d-bag broke in...But it was fun while it lasted...
