Hallways
There are a great number of hallways and corridors throughout the facility and many inmates choose to use them as places of social interaction. Or angry interaction.

Warden's Office
This is the Warden's sanctuary, and is the heart of Furiae. Here rests all the documents, contracts, and weapons significant to the facility. It is also where all the inmates' wands are kept, which explains why its security rivals that of a formidable fortress.

Faculty Lounge
If the need should arise to discuss a suitable punishment for a certain inmate or two, perhaps whine about the Warden behind her back, or to get away from their hellish job for a few minutes, their lounge is the faculty's sanctuary.

The Houses
Recently refurbished, the large barracks are now efficient, Spartan affairs with concrete floors and bare, dry wood walls lit by torches encased in enchanted glass. Each rack consists of a thin metal frame, a twin-sized mattress, and whatever issued linens the inmates didn’t lose. There is a different colored door for each of the three barracks. There is no gender separation.

Dining Hall
Meals are taken here by students and faculty alike. The dining hall also serves as a function room where all important meetings and assemblies take place, and has the ideal conditions for gatherings of numerous audiences. With the addition of house elves, its food has been updated significantly in quality and now includes vegetables.

Safe Room
Built securely out of concrete and steel for one specific use, half of the room is behind thick bars and a heavy padlocked door which leads to all the same place: one enormous, giant cage. The other half is where other inmates can stand safely to heckle whoever or whatever is inside. During the full moon, the facility’s werewolves are herded in here to spend the night. Usually.

Storage Room
A large room used to store mundane and often random things, from mirrors to empty potion bottles to bizarre chests filled with mouse traps. Inmates rifle through the good periodically; it is how many of them pick up journals or extra parchment or the like. The door is locked but can easily be jimmied open with a spoon.

The Dungeon
A stone gargoyle blocks the entrance to the stairs and only moves with the correct password, which changes aperiodically and is passed by word of mouth. It keeps out everyone who should not see what happens in the dark, damp hewn stone corridor maze beneath the facility.

Room One
A windowless, large and ordinarily empty room with whitewashed walls, it is typically outfitted prior to use. It is the plainest of the three, and has no lighting except what the Marshals provide. Across the padlocked door in black lettering it reads, Room One. The walls are spelled soundproof to muffle the screams of the experiments conducted within.

Room Two
A windowless, concrete and stone room fitted with shackles, a large cage, and other murderous devices. Torches in holders provide lighting. Across the padlocked door in black lettering it reads, Room Two. The walls are spelled soundproof to muffle the screams of the experiments conducted within.

Room Three
An enormous stadium-sized, underground arena with a well-compacted bare dirt floor. Torches in holders provide lighting, though not nearly enough. Across the padlocked door in black lettering it reads, Room Three. The walls are spelled soundproof to muffle the screams of the experiments conducted within.

Wastelands
A dead forest-maze impossible to chart or pass through. This woodland is alive with unruly shrubbery that overrun every inch of the area and refuses to be tamed by any gardener. Many unfamiliar and severely hostile creatures are concealed in its shadows and sharp corners.

Courtyard
Inmates get their regular dose of exercise by marching or jogging around this open stone area. The courtyard is enclosed by the facility on three sides and open to the wilderness on the fourth.

Greenhouse Four
Despite its name there are no other greenhouses; one can surmise by studying the nearby rubble the fates of the first three. The large structure is kept in decent repair, with only a few panes of glass broken. It houses hundreds of varieties of plants, from mundane to outright terrible.

Amphitheater
An enormous amphitheater about a quarter of a mile from the facility constructed out of ancient gray rock long weathered by rain and time. The stone stands rise around the center, a packed dirt arena for combatives and other shows. In the stone walls are carved pictures of living monsters that move within each stone.

Poppy Fields
On the far edges of the Wastelands surrounding the island, the poppy flower emits strong, sweet pollen with sleep-inducing properties. The field consists of a countless number of these lethal blooms, creating an aroma so powerful that it will overwhelm and shut down one's bodily systems if exposed to it for too long. Innumerable students have fallen to its compelling odour, thinking that they could endure the field's soporific spell. They lie in the fields in a dead sleep, forever in a terminal coma.

Mail Call
Send a letter or get a letter to or from home, or just pass notes between you and your fellow inmates. Any inbound mail is thoroughly searched before it gets into your grubby little paws, assuming that the poor owl even made it here alive.

The role-play has a very rich wonderful history. When you're feeling bored or unmotivated, I completely recommend reading up on old characters and threads!
