Title: Aston Villa At Ag
Description: Tickets available tomorrow
gooner_graeme - August 1, 2006 02:50 PM (GMT)
Don't forget! Any Remaining tickets will go on sale to Red members on Wednesday 2nd August at 9:30am. Last I heard was there was a few left in the upper sections behind the goal - lowest price £46. Chances are they'll all be gone within half an hour of the lines opening though (if that). Good luck to anyone who gives it a whirl. I advise ringing / logging in early.

Oi! Shut it!
I was hoping no one else would notice!
CescFabregas4 - August 2, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah me too, was keeping quiet about it! I'm amazed that it isn't already sold out, but that's 60k seats, perhaps this will be the norm now :D :D
gooner_graeme - August 2, 2006 08:18 AM (GMT)
Unfortunately, from reading the arsenal.com forum, I don't think you will be on your own regardless. Best of luck anyway. I notice its already saying busy when you try and log on to box office site! and its only 9:20. this should be interesting!
Jockdownsouth - August 2, 2006 08:39 AM (GMT)
Phone lines constantly engaged. Two PC's trying to get through online. Aaaargh!!!!! :banghead:
Jockdownsouth - August 2, 2006 09:24 AM (GMT)
I've just had a notice flash up on my PC - "Due to technical difficulties, this morning's sale of tickets for the Aston Villa match has been postponed till 2pm this afternoon". Anybody else have it? The demand must have overloaded the servers. :banghead:
Tads - August 2, 2006 09:24 AM (GMT)
I got a message saying that due to technical difficulties the sale has been postponed til 2pm today? This happened to any1 else? Or has it now sold out?
gooner_graeme - August 2, 2006 09:27 AM (GMT)
Yeh, I got the same. Don't think it can cope with the demand. Kind of predictable really. Not sure why they expect things to be any better by 2pm.
Also just read that the match will be televised live on Satanta Sports, for anyone who gets this.
Gallas The Gooner - August 2, 2006 09:37 AM (GMT)
on holiday so i'll miss it. Might go to Boro or Sheffield Utd at home instead.

XsNrG - August 2, 2006 10:01 AM (GMT)
It was taking ages to get into, so I took my dog out and left the computer in the que.
When I got back, I got that message about tech difficulties.
gooner_graeme - August 2, 2006 12:44 PM (GMT)
Not until Thursday now! <_<
Tads - August 2, 2006 12:46 PM (GMT)

I think I know where the 606 server maintenance man is working now....
dazthegooner - August 2, 2006 01:07 PM (GMT)
You'd think with all the money Arsenal have the could afford a better computer than a ZX Spectrum

I knew it reminded me of a dark period in the past!!
Jockdownsouth - August 3, 2006 08:41 AM (GMT)
YESSSS!!!!!
I got a ticket. It's behind the south goal in the upper tier - can't remember what colour quadrant. It's Block 124, Row 6, Seat 912. :spinnana: :cloud9:
gooner_graeme - August 3, 2006 08:43 AM (GMT)
Seems to be working much better today! There also seems to be a few tickets available in the quadrants that they initially say are sold old. Could be a good omen for red members for the forthcoming season.
XsNrG - August 3, 2006 08:45 AM (GMT)
Lucky goits, mine just times out :(
KoloLO - August 3, 2006 09:02 AM (GMT)

So did mine the password I was given was incorrect sent for a reminder of it 10 minutes ago and still haven't got a reply and now there sold out
You'd think Arsenal would have a better on line booking service I mean we've doubled the capacity :(
XsNrG - August 3, 2006 09:14 AM (GMT)
Yeah, the booking service does indeed suck.
I got past the que bit, and then when I tried to login, it would just sit there, and eventually time out.
I tried several times to no joy, so I exited the webby, came back in, went straight through the que, tried to login, timed out.
Restarted the machine, came back to Arsenal site, sat in que for longer than before, could now login, but it has now sold out.
50 minutes wasted this morning doing that.
I always feel somewhat cheated by this membership scheme - silver members have like 7 weeks odd to purchase tickets in, we reds get a half hour.

I know its a big con, we should get atleast a day or 2.
And the website is just awful. I mean ive been trying to get my password for a week now! and then when they finally send it, its the one ive been trying all along, it just wouldnt work. So after like 100 attempts it finally logged me in.
dazthegooner - August 3, 2006 09:23 AM (GMT)
I think it's down to it being the first match at Ashburton it will probably die down after a few matches but will perserver for every match so hopefully I will get to see quite a few games this season :)

Possibly...I'll certainly try to get tickets for each match, though I'm not expecting a high success rate.
The thing is, tickets used to sell out to silver members alot quicker than now...infact, I don't even remember the last premiership game that actually went to reds (I only managed to score tickets to the carling cup matches last season)
Imo, maybe they should consider upgrading more reds to silvers, or reduce the disparity of time between tickets going on sale to silvers then reds.

Nah if you go online everyday for updates, youd see them more.
All the FA Cup games went to Reds
also tons of games in the first half of the season, against the likes of Pompey, Boro, etc. Id say you can get to atleast half the premieship games at home (till about January), albeit a few tickets.
But should be better this season
dazthegooner - August 3, 2006 10:15 AM (GMT)
So when do tickets go on general sale for this game then? :1run:
Tads - August 3, 2006 02:37 PM (GMT)
I was out this morning so couldn't even try. But it's my birthday the day after the Boro game so I'm desperately hoping I can get tickets then will stay over night with some mates in London and get suitably sloshed.

Gallas The Gooner - August 3, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
well villa is sold out. i don't mind coz i'm on holiday. I'd like to get tickets for Boro,Sheffield Utd or Watford. I wouldn't mind goin to 2 or all. they are all lower teams so it will be easier to get tickets. i won't get the chelsea, liverpool, united and spurs. i could get newcastle's man city's and all other teams like that.
Injury Time - August 3, 2006 05:35 PM (GMT)

Gallas The Gooner - August 3, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
my dad had trouble getting villa tickets. so he complained and got tickets for bergy's testimonial.
Keith - August 3, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
Got on at 9.33.
Two tickets for the upper tier behind the goal...
Two tickets in basket
£96.50 Shit!
Clicked log out, I ain't sitting in upper & behind the goal for those prices!
northbankgunner - August 3, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)
I love being behind the goal. My season tickets are in the red section, I am seated basically 20 rows behind the goal, bloody awsome view.

 I couldn't give a fuck where I sat so long as I see the game, not sure if you went to the Members day or Bergy Testimonial but the view/noise wherever you are in the stadium is awesome can't believe you passed up tickets
Keith - August 3, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't mind being low down but this was where we sat at the DB10 game, about 3 rows from the back! Not worth the ticket price in my opinion

Grimandi's Perm - August 4, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
Am I right in thinking this game is being shown on Setanta Sport? Can I get this channel as a Sky Digikal subscriber?
