http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/6463491.stmSo the season started again and Raikkonen got off to a bang. But Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd on his debut. He could be the next great British driver.
McNamara That Ghost... - March 18, 2007 12:07 PM (GMT)
I really am in two minds, I can't stand Ferrari but I do like Raikkonen, oh well congratulations to him in any case!
Will be a crying shame if he doesn't win the championship at some point in his career.

Ha. Funny how now that Hamilton's around, everyone's forgotten about the 'next British champion' Button...
I hate Alonso with a passion.
tigerthesmurf85 - March 18, 2007 12:09 PM (GMT)
I love Ferarri because they always have Brazilians and the Italian National anthem is the best and they always win so they play it.

Well, one win in a million races, I think he should be forgotten.
Grimandi's Perm - March 18, 2007 12:18 PM (GMT)
I really like Button, but he desperatly needs a competitive car underneath him.

Is he still with Honda?
He'd be better with Ferrari or McClaren etc.

I'm a Ferrari fan ever since Schumacher was there as my dad and mum were fans of him but now his retired I'm still a Ferrari fan but I'm kinda becoming a Mclaren (no not that fool) fan because it seems Hamilton really can make Britain proud and I want the kid to do well.
bergstar - March 20, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
Wow Hamilton finished third on his debut. Whats the betting he gets an OBE now !

Where's the next race? Can anyone actually watch a whole race? I usually only watch the last 20 minutes.

Should be this Sunday, or next. I've watched a whole race before. Sometimes it can get boring but I always want to see who overtakes who, if theres crashes and who wins etc.
:)

Ralf Schumacher? Oh wait he is the only one. I don't think he will to be honest. I think it will be either Alonso or that Kimi guy will. Maybe Hamilton....but Ralf...no I don't think so.

Grimandi's Perm - March 24, 2007 06:17 PM (GMT)
Kimi Raikkonnen for world champ this year.
I'd love it to be Jenon Button, but he'd have more luck in a VW golf!
McNamara That Ghost... - April 8, 2007 09:03 AM (GMT)
I won't say much, because some of you probably haven't seen the Malaysian grand prix. What I will say is.....<_< .
King-Thierry - April 8, 2007 03:47 PM (GMT)
Mclaren ge the 1 and 2
Alonso top followed by Hamilton and Raikkonen(sp) finishes 3rd
tigerthesmurf85 - April 15, 2007 01:20 PM (GMT)
Well done Massa, and Hamilton. My two favourite drivers

He's a new English driver who's finished 3 2 2 in his first 3 races.
The Crippler - April 15, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
Typical Englishman
Cant win a race. Yet another loser joins the sporting world for England

Well he's tied first in the Driver's Championship. And it's his first season.
Song Billongs Here - April 15, 2007 02:05 PM (GMT)
Cripps mate, Hamilton's made the best start ever for a Formula One driver. Podium finishes in three out of three races... :yikes:
He looks to have a bright future.

King-Thierry - April 15, 2007 02:46 PM (GMT)
Hamilton is the first F1 driver to get 3 podium finishes in his first 3 races so he must be half decent, Cripps

There are winners and losers in sport.
I take it he hasnt won any races yet. What does that make him?
tigerthesmurf85 - April 15, 2007 05:58 PM (GMT)
Seeing as he's in the lead in the championship it doesn't matter that he hasn't won a race yet.
The Crippler - April 15, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Isnt he joint leader and if it stays the same way doesnt the person with most wins win the trophy?

Yes, but there are many races remaining, and he has many years ahead of him.
The Crippler - April 15, 2007 06:17 PM (GMT)
Then lets hope he becomes a winner rather than stay the loser he is at the moment.
-=!Jane!=- - April 15, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)
Cripps, I think you're being rather harsh on Hamilton. He is still a kid like others are saying and has a bright future ahead, so what if he hasn't won a race yet? There has only been 3 races, there is the whole season and I will tell you once that Hamilton will win a race, and possibly the championship too.
So shut it :wwf:
He is a great prospect for Britain, you should be proud to have such a good driver represnting Britain!
