Title: The Million Pound Footballers' Giveaway

A very good Channel 4 programme which has just been on - charts the progress of Dr Noreena Hertz who embarked on a campaign last season to get every Premiership player to donate a day's wage to the nurses. In the end she managed to get every PL club and about half of the players to pledge their wages. Some amusing misdaventures caused by her lack of knowledge about football - she fails to recognise Mark Hughes ('And you are??' - 'I'm the manager') and assumes Ryan Giggs plays for England :D . Mancs do well PRwise with Ferg instgrumental in getting his team behind the campaign, Gaz Neville and Giggs seen to be very supportive(while Chavs shoot themselves in the foot by prevaricating over their 'other charity commitments. ' Reo-Coker and Defoe also featured supporting the campaign .). We don't really feature - TH signed up for it individually and there's contact with Freddie's agent but that's about it. Watch it if it's on E4.

Watched a bit of it.

The Roedor bit. Seems like a top guy. Shame the way he was treated

The show was quite biased in how it failed to mention that most of the clubs that had few players committed to the campaign had either....
campaigns of thier own or
clubs had pre-arranged charitable agreements with their respective charities

also do the makes of the show give away lots of their money to charity?

the fact that nurses need a charity is the biggest disgrace not some footballers not donating.
