UEFA has filed an appeal against the decision by the UEFA Control & Disciplinary Body last Friday to fine the Football Association of Serbia €24,000 (CHF40,000) for incidents at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship final-round match between England and Serbia.

Racial abuse
The appeal centres on the racial abuse of an English player by Serbian supporters at the match in Nijmegen, the Netherlands on 17 June, which England won 2-0. The hearing is to take place on 23 August. Under Article 50 of its Disciplinary Regulations, UEFA has the power to appeal against a decision taken by its disciplinary body.
