Aye. He is, hope he holds on to win. Which surely he will. When he gets going, it's truly magnificent.

Yup he is, hence my name

Lucky 13 for Tiger.
Well deserved, even if it was just to see the the 63 he shot again in years to come.
4 PGA's
4 Green Jackets
3 Open's
2 US Open's
Watch out Jack only 5 more!

One of the richest sportsman in the world I read earlier this month, truly remarkable.
Well done Tiger, and this is coming from a man who HATES golf.
tigerthesmurf85 - September 7, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
One of? I'm sure he is the richest.

I couldn't find the golf thread so bumped this one instead.
Tiger has taken the US Open to a 18 hole play-off against Rocco Mediate. Starts 5pm our time I think. I hope they take their time!

Hopefully a bit to watch after the football. But I doubt it. I would like to see Tiger win even though it's probably fair the Rocco wins.

It just shows how incredible Tiger's victory was. Probably the best golfing feat in history.
He's just announced that he will not play golf again for the rest of the season and the foreseeable future. The damaged gained from playing the US Open has mant he needs an other operation and needs to recouperate fully.
It also states that he had a stress fracture of the tibular probably caused by the intense pressure during the past few days.
How stupid must Reteif Goosen feel now for suggesting that Tiger faked the injury. What a pratt.
How could he fake it and then not play golf again for probably 6 months to a year...When history beckons. He loves the Open and the PGA and will be gutted to miss them.
Might as well cancel Golf until he returns...Winning without him is a false win.

How do people get injured during Golf?
Or was it occured off the golf course?

Yes it was off the golf course. He got it while jogging last year.
Just realised that he'll miss the Ryder Cup.
It's funny the USA's slump has coincided with Tiger's individual rise. Maybe they are better off without him.....Doubt it!

was having a chat on the greatest sportsman in the world yesterday...i vouched for woods because he alone is able to generate golf to a wider audience, think golf, think tiger woods. i sometimes find myself watching even though i hate the game. top pro.
