Toure de Emirates and I have hatched a surely-doomed plan to have an NFL sweepstakes. That's the National Football (=Gridiron) League -- American football. Anyone want to participate?
If we get 32 people (yeah, right) we can do the whole league. If we get 16 people, we can do one of the two conferences.
If we start it up and it doesn't end up working out, we can do a Steve Coppell and quit in the middle. No problem.
The season actually starts tomorrow (Thursday) but there's only one game. The rest of the teams play on Sunday. In general, there will be one Thurs night game, one Mon night game, and the rest of 'em on Sunday. A schedule like the other kind of football, which makes it easy to follow.
If there actually are people in a sweeps game, I'll provide links 'n' stuff to interesting articles. So if you want to do it, let us know in the Other Sports section here:
