Title: Who will win the championship.....

Eggnog Flava'd Flavs - December 5, 2007 09:18 AM (GMT)
and who will get promoted, a question that is not so easily answered now that both Watford and West brom have started chucking resulsts. And who would of thoought that Brizzle City would be up there?

Coventry and Sheff UTD continue to improve, Palace will get it together and the infamous Wolves sprint is yet to happen.

Any thoughts on the best league in England?

Any thoughts on the best league in England?

Yes

I think Arsenal have a good chance of winning the title but Mancs are still favourite.

Watford will win the Championship, WBA will be 2nd and Wolves through the play offs

Eggnog Flava'd Flavs - December 5, 2007 12:15 PM (GMT)
Hmm i agree with the Watford and West Brom ones, they will just have to much quality come may, both managerial and player wise.

I think Coventry may sneak it from the playoffs if they can avoid the ten point penalty

All I Want For Xmas Is Abou - December 5, 2007 12:17 PM (GMT)
I think Sheff Utd will be up there come May..

Eggnog Flava'd Flavs - December 5, 2007 12:20 PM (GMT)
Sheff Utd have a good side for the championship but a shit manager.

I am suprised at how badly Cardiff are doing though. Fowler, Hasselbaink, Sinclair?? They should be taking the piss

Cripps - December 5, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)
Not so sure about Coventry. Ignoring their likely 10 point deduction, they are too hit and miss for me. They can beat the best as we have seen when they smacked 4 past WBA but lose 4-0 at home to some team whose name i cant remember.

Ipswich have a great home record. If they continue that and sort out their away record, they'll be up there.

Who i want to go up personally are Bristol City. Since i had them in the sweeps last season, ive kept a close eye on them and i rate Gary Johnson. Wont be too long before hes managing in the Premiership

Eggnog Flava'd Flavs - December 5, 2007 12:31 PM (GMT)
hmm well you are right about ipswich, some guy has just bought 90% of the shares and paid off ALL of the £32mil debt they had. He has also made £12mil availabkle for the club

Could be more likely next season than this for them though

Coca Kolo - December 5, 2007 02:20 PM (GMT)
West Brom.

Best Keeper, Defender, Midfielder and Striker (Ishmael Miller is destined for greatness!) and Best Team.

West Brom.
Watford.

And Plymouth.

Eggnog Flava'd Flavs - December 5, 2007 03:43 PM (GMT)
Stranger things have happened.

Sturrock is a very good manager and is back at a club where the fans actually like him

Santa That Elf Just Isn't... - December 5, 2007 03:57 PM (GMT)
Not a great result last night though. <_< I think Plymouth lost anyway, I know they were 2-1 down to Norwich.

Eggnog Flava'd Flavs - December 5, 2007 04:03 PM (GMT)
they did but Norwich ar ethe form team in the champs at the moment and Glenn Roeder seems to have got them around the corner

Theolyandtheivygooner - December 6, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
I think Watford and WBA will be the two that go up as of right but wouldn't bet on which order, though I believe the Hornets might just shade it in the end as their manager is quality. Their recent dip is due mainly to injuries plus the fact that one of their best players was on loan and has been recalled. Coming back from 2-0 down against Colchester this week will have given them a boost after dropping points recently, and if they strengthen their squad in January I think they will take some stopping from automatic promotion.

tigertheelf - December 6, 2007 05:47 PM (GMT)
Watford. I was at Layer Road for the very good come-back against Colchester which should bring them back on track. They have one of the best squads in the division, along with WBA. It'll be one of those two.

I was there :D

I said when I first saw Boothroid that he could be a future Arsenal manager. Could well be true.

Watford have been struggling recently. I hope Bangura stays in the country.

Yossarian - December 30, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
Come on Palace!

Alias - December 30, 2007 04:43 PM (GMT)
WBA will win the championship, Watford coming secnd and Palace winning in the play-offs.

Tottenham...

Oh, you mean this year?

Santa That Elf Just Isn't... - December 31, 2007 01:27 PM (GMT)
Plymouth are sixth.

tigertheelf - December 31, 2007 01:50 PM (GMT)
west brom

Toure de Lapland - January 1, 2008 11:39 AM (GMT)
I think QPR are sneaking up there. Watford are struggling, West Brom are doing well. Stoke are also on form. In the Championship if you can win a few games in a row you will climb the table rapidly.

If QPR don't go up this year then they will go up next year :good:

Leicester look as if they are ready to spend money in January, after already adding experience to their squad by signing strikers Barry Hayles and Steve Howard.

(Assuming Derby don't win every game from this point and get into the CL)

Cripps - January 1, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
The same QPR that are in relegation trouble?

The same QPR only 3 points above the relegation zone?

There are 9 points between 18th and 6th. Loads of teams lose in this league, even the teams at the top lose. QPR are really hitting form and with a lot of cash i can see them going up either this year or if not certainly next.

Gooner4Life84 - January 3, 2008 05:55 PM (GMT)
I think West Brom will win it. Most powerful attack in the league and the league top goalscorers.
