Cripps - January 18, 2008 03:19 PM (GMT)
What are the chances of a red member getting a ticket for this game?

Tiger got one, but I think he's a junior member or something and there are different allocations.

Yeah - looking forward to seeing the team walk out in the San Siro with the CL music playing.
i think we have a good chance as long as well hold it together at home, we need to go there with an advantage.
If we can keep Kaka and Pato quiet i will be pretty confident....

Initially I was very confident on this one, our enthusiasm and pace would be too much for them. However we really need to vary our play and big time. We're falling into last years trap of trying to go centrally, through the eye of a needle. This will be an absolute honey trap as far as they're concerned. They are an old Tiring side, we need to stretch them all over the park. All their eggs are going into this, their league seems to be irrelevent for them. I just hope we do our homework before these games.

we're either going to thump them, or they are either going to thump us.
so put both legs down for a 0-0 draw. :coffee:

Rumours are that Kaka will be out for the rest of the season. :S
Cripps - February 6, 2008 02:02 AM (GMT)
Heard that as well but then others are saying its nothing serious.
Hope Wenger and the team isnt thinking too much of it. Just worry about ourselves. We are good enough to beat them with or without Kaka.
McNamara That Ghost... - February 6, 2008 09:11 AM (GMT)
How long is Ronaldo out for? No not the Man Utd one. :(

I know that's just a rehashed story printed yesterday but I really hope it's true...
Sorry but if we want to win things we MUST take advantage if a TOP team like AC Milan are struck by these kind of problems... They wouldn't show us any mercy if we were in the same position so we must kill them off in the first leg so that by the second leg we should have ALL of our players back to full strength

Just look at what happened with United last season for a perfect point...
They were clearly the better side in the first leg but they got one or two injuries in the second and were ANIHILATED by Kaka & Co
Coca Kolo - February 6, 2008 02:06 PM (GMT)
United were the better side in the first leg?

IMO yes...
Or should I say in Clive Tyldesleys opinion
Coca Kolo - February 6, 2008 02:10 PM (GMT)
nah..
Milan were till Gattuso and Maldini went off.
Then it was Man Ure who controlled the game, which was about 30 minutes, other than that it was all Milan IMO, 2-1 up, Kaka and Seedorf missing easy chances to extend the lead as well.

I guess so... Still, that highlights even more how much we need Gattuso/Kaka etc to be missing in the first leg... We need to OWN that match and take at least a 2-0 lead...
Coca Kolo - February 6, 2008 02:13 PM (GMT)
Keeping a clean sheet is imperative.
We saw how those 2 away goals turned the tie to Milans favour despite Man Ure leading from the first leg. 2 nil would be a perfect score, but the clean sheet is essential.

:goodpost:
I suppose the expected line-up for Milan will be (If the news on injuries is true that is)
----------------Dida--------------------
Cafu--Maldini--Kaladze--Jankulovski
Yoann?--Ambrossini--Pirlo--Seedorf?
----Gilbardino--------Inzaghi----------
That's depending on injuries as of this point.
Cripps - February 6, 2008 02:23 PM (GMT)
Would you guys take a 0-0 in the first leg?
I can see Milan going all out defense in the first leg and we've had trouble breaking down the likes of Birmingham so Milan wont be easy.
In the San Siro, they'll have to attack hopefully playing right in to our hands and we score.
I can see us scoring at San Siro more than i can at the Emirates.
A bit like the Real game 2 seasons ago
Alias - February 6, 2008 03:11 PM (GMT)
We'll score at the Emirates, that I am quite sure of. It's the away leg that concerns me after the Mancs were destroyed their last year.
Coca Kolo - February 6, 2008 04:38 PM (GMT)
I'd take a 0-0 at the Emirates.

I'd take a 3-0 at Ashburton and then, say, a 2-7 at the San Siro. :good:
