Grimandi's Perm - January 27, 2008 12:24 PM (GMT)
I'm going to this one :jumpnana:
Czech Out Rosicky - January 27, 2008 12:35 PM (GMT)
the atmosphere at evening games is much better
Mr. Miyagis Bonsai Tree - January 27, 2008 12:37 PM (GMT)
I hope RVP's back for this game, he loves playing against Blackburn :good:
Gunnersgod - February 3, 2008 01:31 AM (GMT)
9 days till this, booooo
I like the games coming thick and thin when we're in this sort of form. Don't like Sultana's coverage either.
I don't like playing when our rivals have all got points in the bag, always adds a extra pressure, but we should have enough quality to see Blackeye off.
Cripps - February 3, 2008 01:41 AM (GMT)
What are the chances of RVP being fit?
He has 9 days to get fit.
Gunnersgod - February 3, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
Slim.
Hope he makes it, he's the lucky charm against Blackeye.

good question.
I mean, he injured himself coming back before he was fully ready, if I understand right. With Eduardo and Ade, we're doing fine. I'd rather we err on the side of caution with Robin.
Synergetic - February 3, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Fabregas to grab a hat-trick.
Arsenal 4-1 Blackburn

However the atmosphere against Blackburn is never good.
I would be going, but I'm not.
McNamara That Ghost... - February 3, 2008 11:24 AM (GMT)
The atmosphere sounded pretty good when we beat them 6-2 last season.
Total Football - February 3, 2008 11:37 AM (GMT)
RVP could be on the bench I think.
RVP Left Foot - February 4, 2008 01:47 PM (GMT)
Doubt if RVP will play or even be on the bench, he maybe ready for the cup match/ milan
Blackburn have 4 players suspended for this match
1-0
Cripps - February 6, 2008 02:56 AM (GMT)
Hes back in training before the Man City game so surely he should be fit enough for this game barring another typical injury
Czech Out Rosicky - February 6, 2008 10:38 PM (GMT)
he returned late last week but wenger said it would be 2-3 weeks more to regain sarpness, they are waiting the necessary time after rushing him back last time.
rosicky should be fit though
Blackburn have dunn, pedersen and samba out
i think itll be the same team with Rosicky on the bench for traore
Gunnersgod - February 8, 2008 11:14 AM (GMT)
Just read Blackeye are missing MGP, Dunn and Samba, while Nelson, Ooijer and Reid are doubts. :woohoo:
dazthegooner - February 8, 2008 11:38 AM (GMT)
I'm actually glad its on Setanta as I have an excuse to go to the pub as I only have Sky

I have a feeling this will be a pivotal weekend in the Premiership. We should beat Blackburn, but if Man City get a result at Old Trafford, and Liverpool get a result against Chelsea, it will be a massive boost with 12 games to go.
Any news on RVP? We should find out more in the pre-match conference. If he can play a part, we can look forward to a bit of this:

Goatface predicts:
| QUOTE |
Arsenal are very good at home and I don't see them losing. There will not be extra pressure if Chelsea and Man Utd win as there is pressure to win every game on each of those three teams.
Blackburn will be competitive but they can be inconsistent. Manager Mark Hughes has done a very good job and they will be in the Uefa Cup shake-up at the end of the season.
Match preview Prediction: 2-0 |
Coca Kolo - February 8, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
ffs..
everything is 2nil with him..
Synergetic - February 8, 2008 03:30 PM (GMT)
Well he did very well to predict this:
http://z13.invisionfree.com/goonersweb/ind...opic=29216&st=0Law of averages says he'll get this one wrong though. <_<
gooner23 - February 8, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
I love how in that first clip savage tries to synically trip RVP, except he even manages to balls that up.
Cant wait for RVP's return (whenever that might be). When fit, he is such a huge asset to the team as he guarentees goals.
RVP Left Foot - February 8, 2008 04:27 PM (GMT)
Wenger says we are down to our bare bones with players injured
:banghead:
Total Football - February 8, 2008 04:46 PM (GMT)
11 players out or doubtful
Czech Out Rosicky - February 8, 2008 05:45 PM (GMT)
it will probably be this with what we defitnitly have available
Lehmann
Sagna/Hoyte===Sagna/Hoyte===Gallas===Clichy
Walcott====Gilberto====Fabregas====Hleb
Adebayor====Edaurdo
I would rather see Sagna at CB than justin tbh but we will see

:good:
So thats 5 first team starters, thats if you can call RvP a first team starter anymore.
Cripps - February 8, 2008 11:49 PM (GMT)
Dont think we can.
Defensively we wont be at our best so Wenger hopefully goes the attack is the best way to defend route and we outscore Blackburn and with the like of Ade, Eduardo, Theo and Cesc still available, i think we can
Gunnersgod - February 8, 2008 11:59 PM (GMT)
i think nordveit will be bumped up next year to the CC squads. don't think djourou has any future with us. look forward to seeing him play, the hassle to sign him better be worth it.

We should definately be able to score against them, with Ade on fire and them with a couple of their "better" players out. Plus upfront they've been having trouble sticking the goals away.
Expect Roberts to bang a couple in then ;)

Roberts vs Senderos...ugh, awful memories from the 2006 CC semi final.
Phil will have him this time though, gotta watch out for Bentley's crossing.

Senderous definately out then?
Tbh I'd prefer Djourou (if fit) than a Hoyte - Gallas CB partnership after the CC.....
Cripps - February 10, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
One game does not make a player bad.
Hoyte wasnt at fault for any of Spuds goal anyway.
Anyway back to this game, no doubt Ferguson has called up his cronie Hughes to make sure he gets his team all revved up to be physical with us.
