six nations is starting up soon
eng vs wales
....and im working at the stadium that night :haha:
mr_gooner - January 29, 2008 02:35 PM (GMT)
Disapointed by Ashton's team selection tbh!
Backs
Balshaw (why!), Sackey, Tindall, Flood, Strettle, Wilkinson, Gomarsall
Forwards
Sheridan, Regan, Vickery ©, Shaw, Borthwick, Haskell, Moody, Narraway
Replacement
Stevens, Mears, Kay, Rees, Wigglesworth, Cipriani, Vainikolo
No Tait in the 22 is a shocking decision and Croft should be on the bench ahead of Rees!!
McNamara That Ghost... - February 2, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
Ireland lead Italy 16-11. Not long to go.
McNamara That Ghost... - February 2, 2008 06:14 PM (GMT)
Waled leading 19-26.
Yossarian - February 2, 2008 06:36 PM (GMT)

shocking
Mr Brighterside - February 2, 2008 06:43 PM (GMT)
:(
no grand slam then
hopefully england uses it as an opportunity to blood the next generation if not to to win
Cripps - February 2, 2008 07:48 PM (GMT)

Kinda my fault. I turned over and we were 10 points up.
Soon as I did so Wales started scoring for fun <_<

Just browsed the Gloucester Leicester report from yesterday:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_unio...ish/7231648.stmYou can make an entire team of players who should be playing for England today instead.
Simpson-Daniel, Ollie Smith, Varndell, Titterell, Crane, Erinle.
AND Tom Croft. How the hell does he not make at least the bench?
Professor Zim - February 10, 2008 11:44 AM (GMT)
I still think this is a bit of a mickey mouse sport :D , I don't like the fact there's only a finite number of countries that play the game.
I can just about watch the World Cup but apart from that....it's not for me.
Gubby-Allen - February 10, 2008 12:05 PM (GMT)
It's spreading though. Just about everyone in Europe has a ranking. If 7s gets in the Olympics.
I actually prefer it to football. Give me an England Rugby Union or Rugby League game over football any day.
The problem rugby has is that the club game is watched & popular but not supported. I've loved rugby for 20 years but never came close to following a particular side. It's only Arsenal the supporting side of football that puts it alongside rugby for me.
Nothing stirs passion more than a big hit on an opposite player, even if you're 50-0 down it still counts for something. A good tackle in football when you're 5-0 down doesn't count for shit.
There were 7 or 8 countries that realistically had a serious chance of winning the RWC. It's only ever that and has only ever been that in football.
Ollie The Optimist - February 10, 2008 04:49 PM (GMT)
why is it that england are determind to feck up every lead they get?

Yes. 23-19.
Gubby-Allen - February 10, 2008 10:07 PM (GMT)
Brian Moore's quality when we're crap. Worth seeing us struggle just for him.
No idea what is up, can't fault the back 3 or OC. It's 1-12 that's completely wrong. Nobody can break the gain-line after half-time.
You could get a better team of the injured than what are playing, but still ...
Stevens, Borthwick, Shaw, Haskell at least are fantastic players, Easter makes great yards for Quins, Mears is in top form. I don't know what the gameplan is but they look shadows of themselves.
It can't be the players.

Hmmm........not so sure today! Lots of positions on the line in this game. I think that the french always differently against us...we seem to have some hold over them. Lets hope we can hold our nerve and keep kicking

It's the Jocks next....there all tough games from here on in!
Bob & Terry - February 23, 2008 09:59 PM (GMT)
There's a bit of Rugby WC deja-vu going on here. After two crap games we start looking quite good in the third game, with massive games still to come.
All to play for.

Fantastic pack strengh today.....looked like the England were used too :scarf:
Gooner4Life84 - March 6, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
Cipriani`s been dropped from the England team because he was pictured coming out of a nightclub
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/7281303.stmHarsh :sulk: He`s a young man for gods sake! He didn`t even drink! If he had a drunken punch up, then you could make a case for dropping him. But just because he was pictured coming out of a nightclub on a night out is harsh.
Synergetic - March 8, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
Wales have ballsed this up big time!
