Joe Calzaghe v Bernard Hopkins should be a good fight, i can only see it going one way Calzaghe to win by UD, i think it will be a repeat of the jeff lacy fight a couple of years ago with Joe dominating every round, Hopkins won't be able to handle the sheer volume of punches at him BUT i don't think Calzaghe has the power to KO Hopkins.
dazthegooner - March 14, 2008 10:29 AM (GMT)
Thing is with Hopkins is that he is a runner always moving backwards so is very hard to hit so Calzaghi will have to make sure most of his shots are on target as he is very hard to hit. but I think that Calzaghi will win in around the 11th.
Professor Zim - March 14, 2008 10:45 AM (GMT)
Hopkins is what 42.......maybe getting a little old to box now.

Walcregas - March 27, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
Looks like Hatton will be fighting Mayweather in 2009. Why do they always schedule these fights so bloody early!? :banghead: Anyway. Should be a good one. Again. I'm rooting for Hatton.

Where did you get that from?
I couldn't imagine Mayweather wanting to bother with Hatton again, and Hatton must realise he is the best at his weight and not make the mistake of going up again.
Walcregas - March 27, 2008 11:59 PM (GMT)
It's all over. One from the
BBC.

Well, that is very surprising.
I'd guess that Mayweather is real confident of victory again and would want to extend his popularity to overseas and a wider market. And to perform in front of a mega crowd at Wembley too.
If Hatton takes this and it happens, after the way he lost last time I can't see any change in the outcome.
He should stick to his weight and forget stepping up again.

Flloyd will fight whoever offers him the most money. At the moment Oscar and Ricky are so he's planning to fight them. Although we all want to see Cotto take him on as it's the mouth watering tie.

Basically if you know very little pf something or in this case nothing of something, its wise not to speak of it
