Implications
With what Maureen reportedly told Madrid and Barca ie they have to offer him a job by April so that he can sign his own players and have a proper pre-season - we may see him end up at Inter and Manci at SB? Chav fans would like that.

Not surprised, he is as a poor a tactically for an Italian coach as you can get. He is stepping down because he is too proud to get booted out. Respect for the man, he has more pride than greed. :ale:
If Mourinho comes in Roma will never win the league. :crying:

Booted out?
| QUOTE |
| Only last week Inter president Massimo Moratti described Mancini as the best coach in the history of Inter along with Nerazzurri legend Helenio Herrera. |
I doubt that and lets be honest, Roma wont win the title no matter whos in charge of Inter cos quite simply put, Inter have the better players as 2 league titles in a row will testify

You do know Moratti said the same thing to Cuper before sacking him 2 weeks later right?
Roma are a growing team and have been making huge strides. I have faith that if Spalletti keeps it up and signs quality in the summer a Scudetto isn't far away. Also the league is far from over this season. :ale:

How many players do you think Roma need and where do you need them?
Quite a lot id say. Roma cant keep on relying on Totti to carry them.

A striker: Gomez
A Left Back: Vargas
A CB: Lucio
I think Roma have the team to win the Scudetto right now, you think about all the refereeing decisions that have gone Inter's way and Roma's inabililty to win in Tuscany and add those missed opportunities together then you'll find we would be comfortably leading the title race.
We already have a lot of quality. De Rossi is quality and Aquilani is IMO, a future WPOTY nominee. You add Vucinic and Mancini on the wings with Giuly and Taddei deputising then I can see a very solid midfield that compares to Europe's elite. If Gomez is bought then we can put Totti in his prefered Trequartista position. IMO the defence is fine, at the start of the season Juan and Mexes were just getting to know each other and often got in each other's way a lot. That is to explain for all those high scoring draws at the start of the season. Now they have built a solid relationship that has the equal most clean sheets in Serie A. Cassetti and Vargas as fullbacks would make a very attacking and relentless team.
Overall I think this team is good enough to win titles already but just need that added bit of quality to throttle them that one step extra that is needed. (Gomez)
Roma scout Bruno Conti has been going to Stuttgart games for 6 months now, so I hope the Gomez signing happens.
