http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=516233&cc=5739Always sad when a club is in big financial trouble like this. Hope they don`t go out of business. It`s been a great story, their rise up the leagues.

| Isn't Gretna in England? |
Just over the border but it's in Scotland.
Hence people going there to get married because the age of consent was younger in Scotland.

They have been given a 9 day extension to prove they have a viable future otherwise the club gets shut down. This is what happens when things grow to fast i guess

Unless Mileson does Lazarus, that's the end of the road. Great great shame

"A bid by supporters to try to retain a football team in Gretna has been successful.
Concerned fans formed an action group after their club went into administration and dropped out of the Scottish Football League. "
What fans ?
Only 501 turned out for their home game against Dundee United last season, so where were all these concerned fans then?
The Gretna story (dream) was always going to end in disaster, the guy Mileson was paying SPL wages to third division players, that could never have been sustained. They only have themselves to blame.
