I haven't been on very often recently, and it's hard to predict whether I will be able to very often for the rest of the season. My schedule's changed.*

Can I ask if someone would be willing to take over the MOTM thread? Your responsibilities would be:

1. Tabulating all the votes and posting who the top three point-getters were.
2. Announcing the new motm vote before each match.
3. Trying to persuade the mods to ban anyone who doesn't pick exactly three players.
4. If #3 fails, taking a contract out on the offender.

It would be very nice and helpful. I will do the hard work at the end of the season to see who wins the overall MOTSeason award. (Unless you want to do it, of course.)

ok, Cripps, you're the man. Thanks a lot.

a couple of tips, kind of a best-practices thing:

• tell people the voting will close after three days but then wait as long as possible to compile the tally (you know this one already)
• forget to do it every 4-5 matches, just so people appreciate you when you do do it
• post a reminder in the match thread at the end of the match -- GWers have the attention span of a coked-up chipmunk so you have to strike when the iron is hot (ouch -- disgusting image from mixing those two metaphors)
• use the list function whenever you can
• always ignore Cripps' vote ... oh, wait, never mind
