Elchegooner - April 9, 2008 11:02 PM (GMT)
Not sure we'll get many posts. But I love the Masters tournament.
So I for one am looking forward to this weekend.
Good luck to Justin Rose, Paul Casey and Luke Donald especiallly.
Watch out for the Tiger.

I'm not a big golf fan, but the Masters is a fantastic course, I sometimes watch bits of this tournament in the evenings.
There's a few obvious names to look out for Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington but golf is an unpredictable game and generally someone unexpected can do very well.
Nice to see old favourites like Langer and Olazabal as well as Woosnam are in there as well.
Realistically you wouldn't bet against Woods, but if he has a mare there's plenty of others capable of winning.

Tiger Woods wife is stunning!
I voted Woods by the way.

Early days but Tiger is struggling to break par. His driving is way off today.
Leader board looks good Ian Poulter and Luke Donald leading the way.
Thats probably the only time IŽll report that about the English dominance.
Grimandi's Perm - April 10, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
Go on Poults!
A Gooner as well :D

It's on telly over here, it's a very good tournament IMO.
Tiger's 1st round is very often his worst and Rose's is always his best according to their records at the Masters.
Elchegooner - April 10, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
Well done to Justin Rose 4- joint leader with a few out there still to finish.
In fact the English players have dominated.
Lee Westwood is at 3- under with 3 to play.
Ian Poulter and Paul Casey all in the top 10.
A word for Tiger at one point he was 2+ put got it back to evens. A terrible round for him but still is only 4 behind.
Expect his move tomorrow.

Well would you believe it...Tiger 7 off the pace.
Well done to Poults and Casey who both are in contention for the final two rounds.
Great story Trevor Immelman the South African deserves his success. He has just finished treatment for a tumor found on his body and had to undergo terrible medical procedures to get through it.
He leads at 8- and I for one hope he holds on, if not The English are coming.
Justin Rose is still hanging in there but lost ground today.
McNamara That Ghost... - April 12, 2008 10:41 PM (GMT)
Tiger is three off the lead now...
Elchegooner - April 13, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
So there we have it Tiger got within 3 shots but ended up 6 off the lead going to the final round.
I think Immelman is destined to win after beating cancer. I for one hope that happens. Unless Paul Casey is within reach then I don't mind.
One things for sure the last two pairs out tomorrow better perform because they have the Tiger breathing closely down their necks.
11- Immelman
9- Snedeker
8- Flesch
7- Casey
5- Tiger
4- Cink

Dont think anyone ever will either.
Hes had his 15 mins
Mr Brighterside - April 14, 2008 08:08 PM (GMT)
I voted for tiger woods
Elchegooner - April 15, 2008 09:19 AM (GMT)
For people that have no idea about Golf, Trevor Immelman is no '15 minute of fame' golfer.
For 2 years he's been consistantly winning tournaments reaching the Worlds Top 12 until being diagnosed with a tumor late last summer. His recovery to win the Masters is incredible.
He is very talented and has the chance to push on to the level of Ernie Els.
He will be a top 10 player pretty soon and to beat Tiger, at this moment is astonishing.
So well done to him.
