Match Thread
Going to this... come on Arsenal let's get a win on the last home game of 07/08
all guns blazing - April 20, 2008 10:16 AM (GMT)
I suspect they will. Everton are even more knackered than we are.
McNamara That Ghost... - April 20, 2008 10:17 AM (GMT)
They'll still be without Cahill right? He has been a huge miss for them recently.
Marc Overmars - April 20, 2008 10:40 AM (GMT)
They seem to of run out of steam, hopefully we can take advantage. Got to stay alert though, don't want to be giving the Yak a sniff.

Or, even worse, you wouldn't want to sniff a yak!

Marc Overmars - May 1, 2008 05:37 PM (GMT)
 What a shock.
Hopefully Bendtner reproduces his form from the other night.
Coca Kolo - May 1, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
I just simply can't get excited about this game.
Marc Overmars - May 1, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
Aye, know what you mean. The lap of honour will be a bit...err...dead, particularly if we don't win.
Hope Ade keeps on scoring though.

Ok if we win, we'll be a point behind Chelsea by the time they play the Barcodes.
:good:
Marc Overmars - May 2, 2008 09:05 AM (GMT)
SUNDAY
Arsenal v Everton
Kick-off 1330 BST
Arsenal v Everton
It is a big game for Everton as they are chasing fifth spot and a place in Europe but Arsenal look like they are finishing the season very, very strongly.
Everton have had a poor run which has allowed Aston Villa to close the gap behind them in sixth place. But the pressure is off for Arsenal and they've really started to play, so they could be too much for them.
Match preview
Verdict: 2-0

Well put the chicken down then and relax ;)
TheJoyOfCesc - May 2, 2008 02:26 PM (GMT)
One win away from and unbeaten season at home. Cut out the silly draws and we'd be quite good there.
Marc Overmars - May 2, 2008 02:27 PM (GMT)
Since December 2005 only Wet Spam have beaten us at home. Not bad going.

XsNrG - May 4, 2008 08:21 AM (GMT)
Probably be a bit of a nothing match really, though I guess whilst 2nd spot is still on we should still go for it...much better to not have to qualify for champs league.
Marc Overmars - May 4, 2008 10:01 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure the players won't want to do a lap of honour to a bunch of empty seats. Go on lads, put on a show!
Cripps - May 4, 2008 10:03 AM (GMT)
I reckon we'll score 4 at least
Synergetic - May 4, 2008 10:38 AM (GMT)
Just played the game on PES and won 5-2. Bendtner got a hatrick I fink.
Cripps - May 4, 2008 10:41 AM (GMT)
:haha:
Bendtner and hat trick in the same sentence?
Never thought id see that unless the words will never score were also included.
Synergetic - May 4, 2008 10:44 AM (GMT)
All 3 of his goals were headers I think so that makes it more realistic. It's gonna happen. :good:
Cripps - May 4, 2008 10:46 AM (GMT)
The guy cant head for shit.
But i want him to stay at Arsenal though.
I want him at Arsenal cos he is awesome on PES.
Marc Overmars - May 4, 2008 10:55 AM (GMT)
Will Fabianski start?...I'd let Mad Jens have his swan song.
AW/RM's YoungGuns - May 4, 2008 11:11 AM (GMT)
Arsenal (from): Fabianski, Toure, Gallas, Song, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Flamini, Gilberto, Denilson, Adebayor, Lehmann, Almunia, Bendtner, Senderos, Eboue, Traore, Djourou.
Looks like Fabianski starts.
No RvP
Synergetic - May 4, 2008 11:16 AM (GMT)
I'd like to see Walcott upfront with Ade. Their defence wouldn't be able to handle the pace.
Marc Overmars - May 4, 2008 11:19 AM (GMT)
They're missing Arteta as well.
Yakubu will still a big threat though.
Grimandi's Perm - May 4, 2008 11:22 AM (GMT)
