Title: Berlusconi: English CL dictatorship

"The English are dominating in Europe because they have the stadiums that allow more revenue, as well as the economics that work well. That is why I believe that the cycle will last a long time," he explained.
"For us it was a miracle last year to be able to rebel against this English dictatorship, as in the semi-finals we were the only club that were not English.” |
we have won the champions league three times in 20 years, and twice this decade. that is a pretty rubbish dictatorship!
what he should be working on is making the serie a less corrupt, more interesting with better grounds with more fans in. instead he seems content to merely complain about our success.

I think he's right, we're coming into the time where our clubs are the best and I think the league will carry on that way.
It looks like The Sheik is going to buy Liverpool, then there's Abramovich at Chelsea and United earning most in the world, Wenger at Arsenal with youth and a stadium that will start to pay it's way (at some point).
It must be a worrying time for the other teams. I can see English teams winning 6 of the next 10 European Cups.

it is good that now the top four get very far in europe, boosts our reputation as a nation and also increases revenues (which can then flow through the league with player purchases)
as you say with arsenal's players getting older and the rest of the top four spending even more I can see us continuing to do well in europe.

:haha: You gotta love Berlusconi!
Will never forget the time he told the German EU representative to get back to his concentration camp!
For a political leader to say that was hilarious imo.
Corrupt and misguided; good for a joke - glad he never ruled GB though! :yikes:
