Have a look at my forum, it's a different type of software, the only problem is you have got to pay for it. But it doesn't have all of this ads all over the place and looks more professional imo.

Re vBulliten...meh. I dunno. If we could extract the member list so we don't have to get everyone to re-register. I don't really think it looks significantly better tbh but each to their own.

Would give us more control though, I believe. It's something we're talking about.
